Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY EXCHANGE WITH HOMES OF SIMILAR STANDING!
Situated in the hilltops overlooking Lugano and its lake, with lovely surrounding mountain views, close to the airport, the highways and train stations, this individual villa with garden is the ideal place for a Swiss holiday, both for nature and culture-loving families. The home was designed by a well-known Swiss architect and renovated in 1994 and it has been published in architectural books. Still, it is a very lived-in, much loved home, with all its peculiarities.
The house features: a first-floor master bedroom with bathroom and terrace overlooking the garden; two ground floor kids' rooms (not pictured; one has a queen-size bed) and a bathroom; a live-in kitchen; an open living and dining room (with fireplace) opening onto a large terrace (with barbecue) which is wonderful in the summer. Please note that one of the single beds is in our home office.
In the summer we usually grow a vegetable patch. Depending on the weather, there might be some watering to do. But you will enjoy the fresh greens!
Sorry, we love dogs (and pets in general) but they are not allowed on the property!
We only exchange with homes or apartments of similar standing. We prefer reciprocal but we also appreciate the convenience of guest points, so don't hesitate to ask.
The dates we have added to the calendar are tentative. Feel free to contact us.
And finally: we base our exchanges, whether reciprocal or GP, on the spirit of mutual trust (within reason, of course). Our home is not just a place to spend some time in when on vacation (like an Airbnb, for example) but a place to live in, and care for, as if it were yours. Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
The villa is situated in a tranquil and elegant residential area with lots of surrounding greenery in the hills above Lugano. The lakefront and city center are a ten-minute walk down the hill through untrafficked paths. Stores are within walking distance; shopping centers a 5-min. drive. Another small lake, nature reserve and walks in the vinyards are close by.
The area is famous for its valleys and nature hikes. A short drive north is Bellinzona, with its awesome castles (Unesco World Heritage site), Lake Maggiore and the lovely resort towns of Locarno and Ascona. You can easily visit Luzern, Zurich and Basel in one-day trips using the comfortable Swiss rail system.
The Italian lake towns of Como and Bellagio are also within easy reach across the border, and Milan is less than an hour by car or by train, with connections to all other major Italian cities. Milan and Bergamo airports, offering a range of low-cost destinations, are an hour's drive away. A local train also connects Milan Malpensa to Lugano.
