The 'Casa Colonica' at il POGGIOLO TUSCANY is located in the 'golden triangle' equidistant from the major sites of historic and artistic interest (Florence, Siena, Arezzo etc.) it is perfectly situated for day trips to sites of cultural interests as well as charming villages and scenic walks off the beaten path. Excellent restaurants and pizzerias, prize-winning vineyards and wonderful local markets for fresh produce. Il PoggioloTuscany offers a spacious and well-appointed accommodation for exchange (OR rental - NO EXCHANGES 15 June-15 Sept).
The "Casa Colonica" is an independent half of a traditional Tuscan villa on two floors (145 mt.sq.- 2 br & 1 huge bathroom with tub/shower, kitchen, dining/living room, sitting room with TV). Large private garden equipped for lounging + dining with breath-taking panoramic view of the Tuscan countryside and stunning sunsets. Free Wi-Fi (suitable for Remote Working). Air Conditioning on both floors. Free parking on site.

Centrally located in Tuscany, il Poggiolo is perfectly situated for "SLOW" vacations, enlivened by country walks, cultural tourism, daytrips, trekking, and gastronomy. The Valdarno region of Tuscany is the home of various "super-Tuscan" vineyards (3-4 km away are Petrolo, home of the prize-winning red Torrione wine, and Carnasciale, creator of the renowned Caberlot). The Valley of the Arno features charming medieval towns, gems of local museums and excellent food. It is well-connected to the rest of Tuscany by both road and rail for daytrips that can easily range from Florence, Pisa and Lucca to Cortona and Arezzo, Siena, Pienza and Montepulciano. (Thermal baths at Rapolano!) Airports of Pisa and Florence 60 to 90 min. drive from Il Poggiolo. CAI (Alpine Club of Italy) marked walking trails start at property and range through nearby Siena hills and farther afield in Apennine mountains. Fabulous weekly markets with local produce and lovely places to eat from village pizzerias to elegant restaurants. Many pools in area, even in winter. Beaches 90 to 120 minutes by car.
