Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

Our home is a terraced house of a group of five. It’s part of an ancient building (XVIII century). I personally restored our part in 1997 (I’m an architect) but leaving its historical imprint.
It’s incredibly close to the sea and it overlooks the large and quiet Bay of Dajla.
In front of the sea we have a private solarium (with external shower) where you can tan or enjoy the sunset with the sun that sinks in the sea.
On the other side of the house there is a pergola with grapevines and a stone table where we usually take our breakfast. Besides there is a private and very safe garden even if it has no fence to keep the sensation of a big garden with the ones of the other 4 units of the building. Dogs are not allowed because there are some free cats in the neighbourhood.
The house is completely in stone with external walls cm.70 thick, thus it's very cool even in the hot summers. It has wooden beams in every room and various windows overlooking the sea.
It has three floors: the ground floor is a single room with sitting-room (two sofas), dining-room (big table for 8/12 people) and kitchen (completed with dish-washer, little oven, microwave and electric kettle); the other two floors have two bedrooms and a bathroom each (The bathrooms have showers and a washing machine). As a whole there is room enough for 8 people with 2 double beds and 4 single beds.
In the ground floor there is a stereo CD (which is also a DVD reader) and a TV with satellite antenna.
Outside there are some tables (one in stone), deck chairs and to look at the see there is also a long stone bench.
Some steps and you go directly from the garden into the water to swim.
Smoking is allowed only outside.
In the garden I've also built a simple stone barbecue.
It's our holiday house, therefore we can also consider no-simultaneous exchanges and for guest points.

We also rent our house for periods of 1 week or longer.

In the area there are other beaches at walking distance.

Very close to the house there is a market (5 minutes walking) and various very good restaurants are not far from the house.
Really tasty is the seafood but you can also enjoy the truffles.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier

Dajla is a very quiet and small seaside village in front of the Adriatic sea. It is about one hour by car far from the Italian border and 1,5 hours from the international airport of Trieste (Ronchi dei Legionari).

The house is by the sea and our garden is along the perimeter wall of an ancient charming monastery which at the moment is not in use.
Our neighbours are 2 local families and some Italian couples who also have their second house there.
In 3 minutes walking there is a little market that has everything you normally need.
In few minutes walking there are some restaurants (one is really good) which serve local seafood and other local products.
To swim you can enter the water of a quiet bay of the Adriatic sea just in front of the house or in one minute you can reach a pier in front of the monastery to plunge.
If you walk southwards in few minutes you reach a beautiful and wild stone and cobbles beach whith crystal water and lots of fishes that you can easily see swimming and snorkeling.
If you walk 1-2 minutes northwards the beach offers an easy access to the water, some steps with handrail , a little sand beach where babies can have fun, and a playground with beach volley and other amenities for the youngest.
At the end of the bay ,15 minutes walking, you reach Karigador where a bike rent offers you the chance to visit the surroundings by bike.

Novigrad, the nearest town, is 5 minutes drive, it has beautiful ancient walls along the sea, an old pedestrian center with church, bell tower, nice squares with gardens, a touristic port, a lot of shops, restaurants and cafés very lively in the evening.
In 10 min. by car you can reach one of the most beautyful and biggest camping inCroatia , "Umag Park", where you can play tennis, minigolf, table tennis. Moreover there are, a swimming pool, disco, supermarket, restaurants, internet cafè, or you can rent boats or windsurf.

You should visit other important and historical towns : Umag (15 min by car), Porec (20-25minutes by car) and Rovinj (40 min by car).
Pula with its perfect ancient roman Arena is less than 1 hour drive away.

During the summer there are some local festivals. Nevertheless I think that the best months to stay are June and from September to the first part of November when the colours of the surroundings are wonderful and you can visit all the little villages of the inner Istria with the best temperature. Besides October and November are the months of the truffles. You can also consider the possibility to visit the surroundings by bike , renting it in Novigrad for a day or all the week.
