Our home is a modern 3-bedroom duplex apartment with a converted loft space which we use for playing and recording music. The apartment is full of light and is set on the top of a hill so has some beautiful views stretching from North County Dublin, over to the Wicklow Mountains. The apartment is 1800 square feet, and is comprised of an open-plan living area, downstairs rest-room, kitchen, upstairs bathroom, master bedroom with ensuite, guest bedroom, office, childs bedroom (with additional pull-out double bed). We love to cook and bake and as such, our kitchen is fully equipped to meet most needs. We have a well-stocked reading, movie and music library with LCD television and media centre and there is wireless internet available throughout. There is a planted balcony area with barbeque for chilled reading on sunny days! There is a local shop within a 1-minute walk and a playground 10 minutes walk away in Malahide park.
Our apartment is set in a beautiful small development with parking available and is a 5- minute walk from Malahide Castle and park. We are a 10 minute walk from Malahide village, a 10 minute drive from Dublin International Airport, a 30 minute drive from Dublin City Centre and there is local transport available nearby within a 5-10 min walk.

Malahide is a beautiful sea-side town 8 miles from Dublin City Centre dating back to 6000BC. The Normans developed Malahide Castle and demesne in 1174 and to this day, Malahide still retains its Old World charm and elegance. It is situated on the East coast of Ireland and we are lucky to have the extensive Velvet Strand beach which, is perfect for long romantic walks, searching for sea creatures in the rock pools, swimming and running. Water sports are available at nearby Malahide Estuary or with the Yacht/Sailing Club. Malahide hosts a popular marina and for the Sailor, the location is ideal for cruising this scenic stretch of coastline. When it comes to shore-leave, there is no better place for a stop-over!
For those who are land-based there is a local swimming pool, gym, tennis courts, horse riding, salons, yoga studios, a number of world-class golf clubs and some beautiful walks. Malahide Castle boasts beautiful gardens, woodlands, a great children's playground and a delicious Avoca cafe.
Malahide has acquired a reputation as the gourmet capital of the East Coast, with an array of restaurants (including Michelin Star) noted for their quality and variety. The local pubs are amongst the most popular in North Dublin and there is lots live music available throughout the week. We are happy to recommend our favourite spots for food and drinks. As we are so close to the City, Malahide is a perfect place to explore Dublin and surrounds while getting an authentic local experience. If you don’t want to rent a car you can easily explore Ireland with day trips leaving from Dublin city (www.paddywagontours.com).
