Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our renovated duplex/maisonette apartment is located on the top floor of a 4 story building. Your family can enjoy a cozy vacation without having to sacrifice personal space.
Each of the 3 bedrooms is spacious and sleeps 2 adults per room. All beds have nordic (down) comforters and numerous types of pillows (supportive, down, grain-filled, etc.) are available from which you can choose. The master bedroom on the main floor has its own bathroom with double sinks, large shower and towel heater. The guest bedrooms are located on the top floor and share a bathroom.
NOTE: please no requests from Germany, Netherlands or Belgium (we were just there and wish to discover other regions).
The kitchen, living & dining room is one large bright open room with high ceilings. The living room has a comfortable extra wide sofa to hangout together and watch a movie on or to sleep if necessary. A flatscreen TV with AppleTV is available as well as WIFI and an iPhone charging station set up to the speakers.
Our kitchen has all the modern amenities you could want: ceramic flat top electric stove, microwave/oven, oven/steamer, large refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher with timer, ESE espresso coffee maker, raclette oven, and fondue pot. There is also plenty of counter space for preparing your meals.
The dining area is right next to the kitchen. The antique wooden table seats 6-8 comfortably (high chair also available). The balcony is accessed right from the dining area. Here we have a table, chairs, umbrella and grill for cooking and dining outdoors on balmy summer nights.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Flims is a short 1.5 hour drive from Zurich airport and can also be reached by public transportation (www.sbb.ch) or LAAX Bus transfer from the airport. The world class ski, hiking and mountain biking mecca of Flims Laax Falera is marketed in the winter under www.laax.com and in the summer as www.flims.com.
In the winter you can ski down to the free shuttle bus which takes you to the base lodges of either Laax or Flims in 2 mins. On your way home, you can ski right down to the apartment.
In the summer the mountain biking trails start and end right outside our front door and the gorgeous deep blue waters of Lake Cauma are a short walk down through the village.
Naturally whether you ski, hike or just want to relax, there are plenty of quaint restaurants on the mountain where you can take a break and recharge your batteries with local specialties.
Our apartment is located on the grounds of the Parkhotel Flims Waldhaus (www.waldhaus-flims.ch) a 5-star resort and spa.
The village of Flims is within walking distance and has the largest variety of stores including supermarkets, bakeries, butcher shop and pharmacy. Laax Murschetg with its "Rocks Resort" is a 5 minute drive and was newly built a few years ago and has a great offering restaurants, wine bars and pubs along with several sport stores and supermarket.
The city of Chur with it's beautiful old town is also worth a trip (15 minutes by car) if you want to visit some historical sites or do more city-like shopping (for instance if the weather were less than perfect).
