Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our home is a beautiful two-floor apartment in the old wooden house built in 1927. You can feel the time-honoured atmosphere also inside the apartment and by watching the picturesque view outside the windows and walking through our historical living area Kumpula.
The first floor (45 m2) is fully open space that comprises a kitchen, a living area and a beautiful dining area with big windows. The kitchen is fully functional with cooker/oven, fridge/freezer, microwave oven, toaster, coffeemaker and dishwasher. In the living area you can relax in the sofa-bed reading or watching tv/dvd/blue-ray.
The upper floor (35 m2) has two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The master bedroom has a double bed (160 cm) and a high ceiling with roof rafters. The other bedroom has a children's bed (165x75 cm), desk and a lot of toys and games to play.
In addition the apartment has it's own large and sunny garden with tables, chairs, gas grill and a playhouse for children. And if you like you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch and dinner outside under the beautiful old apple trees.
If there in a need for more sleeping places we have a sofa-bed in the living area. It's comfortable for two people to sleep. We also have extra mattresses which can be put for example in the second bedroom.
We also have a separate guestroom downstairs in the basement. It's possible to stay in the guestroom if one room (15 m2) with bed (80-160 cm) and own bathroom covers your needs. In the guestroom you can stay even while we're home so it makes non-simultaneous changes possible. It even has it's own entrance so you easily can come and go whenever you like.
We don't have a car but parking is easy and free: there is a place for a car in our house yard or on the street just outside the house. So if you like to explore Finland by renting and driving a car you can easily hire one from the Helsinki airport (http://www.helsinkiairport.org/helsinki-airport-car-hire.htm). Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Finland is a land of interesting contrasts, such as the four seasons, the Midnight Sun and the winter darkness, urban and rural, East and West. As you look out from the plane, the first impression you may have is that there ae a lot of trees… an endless carpet of forest, with many lakes and small towns in between. It’s kind of a surprise when you land in Helsinki to find that the airport is so modern and efficient. Not a polar bear in sight.
Finland's capital city Helsinki is unique among Northern European cities. The lifestyle in the second-most northern capital city in the world is full of activities in the form of hundreds of events and friendly people.
Our neighbourhood Kumpula is an old village area with charming old wooden houses and friendly people. Nowadays the area has become a very desired living area with it's beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
In Kumpula you are living close to nature but also near services and cultural events. A big plus are the really good connections to the city centre. You can choose between bus and tram - with both of them you are in the city centre in fifteen minutes. And if you like some city excercise you can also use our four bikes (2 men's bikes, 1 women's bike and 1 children's bike).
