Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
This flat is the perfect base for a trip to the Cape. Northwards is an easy train or car ride into the heart of Cape Town, or the winelands. To the west are spectacularly scenic drives to the western seaboard, while southbound takes you into the tranquil Cape of Good Hope nature reserve. If you're weary of travelling, you can reach both the beach and the village within a mere 500 metre walk. Or you can relax at home with satellite TV, or enjoy the mountain views over cocktails on the balcony.
The flat is a cosy 95 sqm duplex: on the the ground floor is the kitchen, dining area, reading nook, bedroom and bathroom (with shower) while upstairs is the lounge, TV, desk, balcony, another bedroom and bathroom (with full bath). Spacious cupboards throughout. There is a washer, but, as is the custom in South Africa clothes are dried on the nearby clothesline, not an indoor dryer. There is one reserved parking place. Wireless internet is available at a modest cost. The complex has a swimming pool, security gate with remote, and an on-site manager. Maid service is also available at a very reasonable cost.
Sorry, the body corporate rules do not permit pets.

Fish Hoek (or Afrikaans "Vishoek") means "fish corner" and is situated on the shores of False Bay, which is the warm side of the ocean. It is sheltered from the currents and stronger surf found in other parts of the bay. The average ocean temperature is around 17 degrees, and lifeguards man the beach throughout the summer season.
Initially the town consisted only of holiday cottages, but with a good train service to Cape Town, it is now a permanent community, although its population still swells in the summertime. The main street, only a few minutes walk from the flat, has all the necessities and more, including Pick 'n Pay grocery store, gas station, restaurants, bookshops and other quaint little shops. Up until recently, Fish Hoek was a "dry" area - one of the conditions placed by the original owner who bequeathed the land for development. Nowadays, however, alcohol is available in restaurants and bars, but there are still no liquor stores in the town. But never fear.....the nearest store is only a 5-10 minutes scenic drive to Glencairn.
A short drive takes you to the historic naval base at Simonstown (swim with the penguins!), the quaint fishing villages at Kalk Bay or Hout Bay, the seaside mecca at Muizenberg and - everywhere - sparkling ocean and majestic mountains. Wherever you go, you will also find the unique brand of South African laid-back hospitality and friendliness.
