The village of Diemen is situated next to Amsterdam and easily reached by car and public transportation. The centre of Amsterdam is only 15 minutes by tram; the direct line which stops close to our house
Diemen is a small village located between two Amsterdam regions which makes it extraordinary to live (living outside in the green but very close to all the facilities that Amsterdam has to offer). From Diemen you cycle to Amsterdam but also to the Diemerbos en theIJmeer. In the winter when it is really cold you can iceskate on the opposite side of the house on a natural ice-rink
In Diemen you have a few shopping centres which have all the facilities for shopping and groceries. Every Wednesday there is a big market where you can buy everything (fresh fruit, fish , clothes etc).
From Diemen it is easy to travel (by train, bus or car) to the other provinces in the Netherlands.
5 minutes from our house you will find the Diemerbos which is an attractive and varied woodland and forrest with a lot of recreation possibilities (walking, cycling, skating etc).You will find a network van wandel- en fietspaden, you will find three marked walking routes and cycling routes.From our house you can make beautiful cycling trips to the city of Weesp, Muiden and het Diemerbos.
Schiphol airport is 15 minutes by car.
