Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

Welcome to beautiful Waihi Beach, at the base of the world famous Coromandel Pennisula. The house was built by my husband's grandparents in 1952, and we were lucky enough to be able to buy it and have fully renovated it top to toe. This includes a brand new kitchen and lots of lovely landscaping. It has an authentic beach house feel that harkens back to a by gone era in New Zealand, but is modern and comfortable in every way. One block from the beach, and a full service cafe/restaurant on the waterfront 50 metres from the doorstep. The village is just a 5 minute walk away with bakeries, cafes, galleries and boutique shops.

Waihi Beach is somewhere you can stay and just relax on the beach and in the many nice cafes, or get into the outdoors and go hiking, cycling, boating and surfing. There is enough to keep you going for many days, if you enjoy the natural beauty of the beach and coastal forests and rivers of New Zealand. There are gorgeous river walks and swims in crystal clear water within 15 minutes drive as well. The village has everything you need and locals are super friendly and helpful.

The house is set up for primarily couples plus one/two, with just the downstairs available for guest use. We are not set up for younger children unfortunately. We are non-smokers, and request no smoking on the property. There is a cupboard full of beach toys including surf boards, boogie boards, scooters and all sorts of board games. There is lots of outdoor furniture and cushions, hammocks and whatnot to help you unwind. The spa pool is a game changer when you come back from the surf, after your outdoor shower, to step into a Tiger River jet spa. There is an outside shower and back garden entrance to come back from the beach to hose off yourself and the toys. :)
A cleaning fee of $40.00 is asked for, please leave by the stereo before you exit the property. It is expected that the house be left in the same condition as you find it, but the host will do the laundry and bed-making. Please leave sheets and towels in the bathtub, or hanging if wet. Thanks!
