Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
My home is about a five minute drive to the beach. The tram (direct to the city) is a four minute walk, while the train is about fifteen minutes away. There is a bus at the end of the street that will take you to Chadstone (the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere). Melbourne airport is about 35 km away.
Melbourne is known for its café culture. Several are within easy walking distance. No need for the car.
My house is a modern three bedroom town house. The main bedroom is down stairs and has a queen size bed. Upstairs the second bedroom has a double as well as a single bed. The third bedroom is currently set up as a study but it would be very easy to move the single bed into this space. All three bedrooms are large. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and the other an en-suite to the master bedroom.
On the ground floor you will find the kitchen, a very large sitting room and separate dining area. In the sitting room there are three couches; one is a very comfortable sofa bed if an extra bed is needed. The laundry is also downstairs.
The garden is private and is ideal for enjoying a BBQ or just relaxing out of doors.
The kitchen is well equipped and gourmet delis and supermarkets are just minutes away.
My suburb is one of the oldest in Melbourne, and has many historic houses. There are a number of good walking tours looking at the most interesting homes and public buildings.
There is easy access by car, bus, train or tram to central Melbourne but public transport is usually the best and cheapest option. Melbourne is known for the theatre, ballet, the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV International) and the NGV Australia with its focus on Australian art especially indigenous art. The Botanic Gardens as well as many other parks surround the city.
Melbourne is very multi-cultural and so it is very easy to eat out while enjoying the food of many cultures. Lygon Street in Carlton is probably the most famous for its amazing range of Italian restaurants. Greek, Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese and Malaysian are all favourites.
Melbourne has a range of first class museums, galleries and a world class aquarium but it may surprise you to know that there are many wineries within close proximity to Melbourne.
Two of the most popular are the Yarra Valley and the Mornington Peninsula. They can be accessed within an hour’s drive. Fabulous food is never far away. If you enjoy a breakfast at a café – several are within easy walking distance from home.
If you are hoping to explore further afield the Great Ocean Road, the Goldfields, the snowfields and spa towns are within a couple of hours of Melbourne.
Melburnians just love their sport. You can play tennis at the Rod Laver Arena- home of the Australian Open, watch almost any kind of football including Aussie Rules, and there are many fine golf courses around the bayside area.
I enjoy riding my bike along the bike path that runs alongside the beach. You will find plenty to see and do in and around Melbourne whether it be sport, shopping, culture, food and wine, terrific rural sights or night-life.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Well established, quiet and safe suburb. Cafes, parks and beach close by. Great public transport - trams, trains and buses. You can be out visiting world class golf courses in minutes, or an hour will take you to two of our great wine regions.
