Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our lovely home is a beautiful family house very close to Amsterdam and Utrecht and yet lush green. The house is 150 sqm.
Our house has one master bedroom for two adults, one bedroom for one adult, one bedroom for a child and one bedroom for two aldults (the coach on the picture with the bear can change into a two persons bed which sleeps perfect). We have two bathrooms each with a toilet and one with an bath and the otherne with a shower. At the ground floor we have a seperate toilet. Our house can accommodate up to five adults and a child. The kitchen is well equipped. It has a kitchen table with 4 (optional 6) chairs and two children's chairs, an oven, a microwave, a coffee machine (electric drip coffee maker). There's also plenty of counter space. The washing machine and dryer are located at the ceiling. The living space is comfortable and has a tv, a stereo set and a cosy fireplace.
We have wifi internet. The kids have plenty of toys. We have two bicycles for the grown ups and a "bakfiets" (carrier cycle) in which you can transport 2 children. We have 2 children bikes. It's fun to go cycling in Holland. It's easy because there are no hills or mountains. It's safe because all the main roads have separate biking lanes.
The garden has a terrace with a garden table with six chairs and a BBQ. For the children we have a sand box, a trampoline and lots of outdoor toys such as an inflatable swimming pool, little cars, balls and such.
Arrangements can be made for our regular cleaning woman to come while you are there, if you need her.

Amstelveen is a pleasant town with nice architecture. It is a suburb of Amsterdam and has a residential character. Our house is located in a childfriendly green neighborhood.
Amstelveen is surrounded by a beautiful natural area which is great for biking. The beautiful Amsterdam forest in which you can walk for hours on end, is at a 10 minutes walk.
There are also lakes (Loosdrechtse plassen and Gooimeer) near by. Here you can swim, rent a boat or practice windsurfing or just hang out on one of the many terraces.
But Amstelveen is also a city with all daily shops and everything you might possibly need. A big shopping mall and a stage for pop music are also located at a 10 minutes walk. Many nice restaurants are at walking distance, but of course you can go to Amsterdam for many more restaurants and a great city life. We travel either by bike, bus or subway (all 20 /25 min door-door) to Amsterdam.
Our town has perfect public transport and easy access to the highway so you can easily explore the rest of Holland. You can make lots of day trips to beautiful historic and cultural cities such as Utrecht (30 min by car/20 min by train), The Hague (40 min hour by train/ 1h by car), Haarlem, Leiden, Rotterdam, Den Bosch and Gouda, but also the historic fortified city of Naarden (25 min) is a must-see. It is one the best preserved fortified garrison cities in Europe and dates back for the most part to the 17th century.
The North Sea shore with its dunes and sandy beaches is a 30 min drive away.
You can visit a whole lot of museums and galleries within short travelling distance. In Amstelveen for instance you can visit the Cobra mueum. In Amsterdam for instance you can visit the Rijksmuseum, The Van Gogh Museum, The Stedelijk Museum for modern art, The Anne Frank House, the National Maritime Museum, the Hermitage Amsterdam (it's a spin-off or branch of the Hermitage museum in St-Petersburg in Russia), The Royal Palace and the Rembrandt House. In Utrecht you can visit (among many other things) the Railway Museum with its big collection of historic trains, the medieval city center, or the Centraal Museum with lots of work of the famous designer and architect Gerrit Rietveld.
Amusement parks, such as De Efteling (Europe'sthird biggest theme park) and Walibi Holland are fun to visit for a day. There are also a zoo nearby.
If you like swimming you can also enjoy several big public indoor and outdoor swimming pools..
