For guests - swaps only - simultaneous or non simultaneous
Sorry - no points stays and no short stays.
Chacalna is not at all child friendly for those under 10 years old.
For us - we do like to be near, or in, a city or a town. Our home is in an upscale, prime area, so we ask for swaps of a similar type of property.

DALKEY and SURROUNDS;
You are truly spoiled for choice in Dalkey for transport, walks, shopping, fine and casual dining, excellent authentic pubs Inc. some with music. So many fine seafood, steak, and ethnic restaurants, plus excellent shops.
The small quaint granite harbours of Coliemore and Bulloch are a stroll. Directly behind our house-2 minutes away you have the wonderful walks of Killiney Hill with fantastic views over Dublin, Killiney Bay, Bray and beyond. You can even rent a small boat at Bulloch Harbour for very good fishing in the bay.
Transport is right on your doorstep. The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) station, only seven minutes walk, takes you to Dublin city centre, fabulous (not to be missed) Howth harbour with its seafood restaurants and famous bars and stunning cliff walk. The large harbour town of Dunlaoghaire with the marvellous (walkable) 2 long piers, shops, cafes, restaurants, farmers market, etc, is only four stops away. The other DART direction brings you to the lovely coastal seaside towns of Bray and Greystones. The beautiful coastal walk from Bray to Greystones is an absolute must!
The DART line also serves the main Dublin railway stations and stops two minutes from the main bus terminus, so really, all of Ireland is a mere seven-minute walk away. The Aircoach stops at the nearby Fitzpatricks Castle hotel directly from the airport.
The motorway network is a few minutes away by car
The spectacular, natural, uninhabited, wild Wicklow National Park is reachable by St Kevins Bus, or about 20-25 minutes wonderful drive away by car, to beautiful Glendalough (Glen of two lakes) to see the 11th-century monastery. This is a must-do. You can actually walk the stunning Wicklow Way from Dublin to Glendalough in two days.
If you wish to explore Europe with Dublin as your base, then please see ryanair.com and aerlingus.com. for incredibly cheap airfares to all of Europe and beyond. The earlier you book, the cheaper the fare.
For instance; you could easily fly to London, take the train to Paris, fly to Rome, train to Florence/Pisa, and then go back to Dublin for very little.
Yes. Dalkey is as good as it gets!

Le mot de la fin
PLEASE NOTE;
SWAPS ONLY FOR THE MOMENT
NO SHORT STAYS
My house is not child friendly for those under 10 years old.
We are not keen on properties that are way out of town.
We have a lovely home in an upscale area, so we ask for similar properties. Small (note small) secondary properties are not of interest to us.
We are blessed with living in one of the very best, if not the best, neighbourhoods in Dublin. Yes, Dalkey is that good!
Spectacular view of the city, Dublin Bay, Howth, and Dunlaoghaire harbour
Great location in Dalkey-6 mins walk to the light rail (DART) to Dublin city centre
We do prefer longer stays of even a month or so. However, we would consider an exchange in a town/city for a week or longer that has all the same amenities that you are offered here in Dalkey/Dublin.
