Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
We are a family of 6 (and a little dog, though during exchanges it would be elsewhere). Our house is in a quiet 7 house street - in the middle of the street, backyard leading to open green field which is uncrowded. Supermarket and bakery in 4 min walk, soccer fields in 3 min (grass) and 10 min (artificial) next to school playground. We have or can provide bikes for 6-8 pers. You can go everywhere by bike in Akureyri. Free public transport within the town. The house is quite spacious, with big kitchen where you can easily prepare any meal. Big livingroom w. TV. The outdoor shower next to the big jacuzzi is an unmatched luxury, but showers are inside at the bathrooms also. We´ve got everything we need or want just minutes away. If you´re eager to see something exciting and special, numerous attractions are within 2 hours drive, like whale watching (less than one hour) Lake Mývatn and geothermal pool (approx. 1 hour) horse rental by your wishes, trail biking in Kjarnaskógur, a little wood at towns end, 30 min by bike, etc.
Please note, we have a Miniature Schnauzer dog in our home, so if you´re allergic to pets you have to consider if it suits you. The dog would be absent.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our home is situated in a well established district amongst grown gardens. There is little traffic, and you will find a school yard only 10 min away, one big street to cross. In about 5 min walk, there is a bakery which opens early every day and a supermarket. The Akureyri swimming pool is a very nice place to spend a great deal of time, it´s fairly affordable and even on cold weather days, the swimming pool is the place to attend at. Akureyri is a big town compared to other municipalities in Iceland, with approx. 18.000 inhabitants. There is a big hospital in Akureyri with emergency service around the clock. Supermarkets are always open and are just few minutes away, and low budget stores are also within reach. There are many nice resturants in Akureyri in various price ranges.
