We call our home Valhalla Ranch as an ode to my father, the ultimate viking of our family, because this was his heaven. We encourage you to bring your family and enjoy one of Island Park, Idaho’s most sought after locations. Our beautiful cabin is set back in its own private paradise on 26 majestic acres with its own private pond and stream. Valhalla Ranch has solitude and grace. The magnificent views will have you mesmerized for hours gazing at Henry’s Lake or scouring the mountain side for wildlife that migrate through the area. And the best part is that the house is just 20 miles from the gates of Yellowstone National Park!
We offer a spacious 4900 square feet home with four private bedrooms, an open sleeping loft as the 5th bedroom and three bathrooms for the comfort and convenience of up to 12 guests. All linens are provided for your stay.
The open floor plan invites camaraderie. The large living room with floor to ceiling windows offers the perfect gathering spot for everyone. Enjoy the incredible views while others can watch television, read or play games. The large kitchen is well stocked and has lots of room for all of the chefs in your group. Enjoy fixing a home cooked meal with family and friends in this well-appointed, state of the art kitchen or barbecue steaks on the grill. The dining room seats 8 with additional seating for 4 at the bar. Outdoor dining is encouraged on the expansive wrap around deck.
For rainy days when outdoor adventure eludes – you can amuse you and your group with a rousing game of billiards in the downstairs family room or watch television in this cozy area. A laundry room with full size washer and dryer are available for your convenience with all supplies provided.
Our outdoors is what sets Valhalla Ranch apart from the rest. Imagine wading in a private stream while enjoying the soaring eagles overhead. You will never feel closer to Heaven on earth than at our little slice of paradise.
Valhalla Ranch has Direct TV and internet provided. Cell phone coverage is excellent with most services (check with your provider).

Valhalla Ranch is conveniently located so that your vacation home base is within minutes of some of the area’s best activities. Henry’s Lake offers world renowned fishing arrangements have been made at the Wild Rose Ranch directly across Highway 87 from the cabin for you to utilize their boat dock or take the opportunity to rent a boat from this convenient resort area; this lake is amazing with record breaking fish being pulled from its depths. Visit Mesa Falls, or go for a hike at Harriman State Park, feed the fish at Big Springs and tour Johnny Sacks Cabin. The drive up to Sawtelle Peak will have you holding your breath, but the amazing views of three states will have you thankful that you made the trip. Rental companies are close by for any equipment that you may need for your next exploration. Adventures await you with so many options including float trips down the river, hiking trails, horseback riding, fly fishing the Madison or a round of golf at Island Park Village. Whether you appreciate the Macks Inn Playhouse theater or extreme white water rafting you can enjoy it all while returned to the comfortable and stately Valhalla Ranch.
