We have a beautiful apartment in the back of our house (900 sf). Full kitchen, seating area, dinning area, separate bedroom, in suit bathroom, walking closet, storage and laundry closet with washer and dryer. The back of the house is wooded where we often see deer and wild turkey. There is also a 1,100 sf patio with a fire place, surrounded by flower garden. It’s a joy to seat here and have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evenings. It's like being on a holiday every day.
The house sits on 5 acres. We have an organic vegetable garden, fruit trees and diferent kinds of berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries & strawberries).

There is plentiful shopping within 5 minutes of our house as well as restaurants, movie theater and whiskey distillery.
Franklin is a beautiful, trendy town rich with history. Civil War battle sites near by with homes and monuments to seen. Both music and movie stars call it home and it is not unusual to see them hanging out. Downtown is a culinary destination with abundant shopping for antiques, clothing, art, wine, books, jewelry and gorgeous walks.
Nashville is not only known for country music but did you know that people are calling it the New York of the south? (but much friendlier :) Many people arriving here on holiday. Dowtown Nashville is a destination for bachelorette parties. We are welcoming more and more international travelers and investment.
Our exchange friends from Netherlands visited a couple of years ago and they returned this year for the 3rd time! We have renowned restaurants, music every day, vineyards, symphony, opera, shows, comedians, beautiful parks, almost 20 colleges and universities.
Chattanooga 2 hours away. Definitely worth a visit. The amazing aquarium, beautiful downtown on the river and great restaurants, concerts, the art district and great coffee.
Monteagle 1 hour away, in route to Chattanooga is a beautiful mountain top drive. The University of the South campus in Monteagle is a must see.
Gatlinburg 3 1/2 hours to the east is home to the Great Smokey Mountains. Granted the highest point is only 6800 feet but outstanding for scenery, wild life, fall colors. If you opt for this you must go to "Dollywood" in Pigeon Forge. It is a mecca of rollers coasters and music of course.
Memphis Tennessee is 3 hours away to the west. You can visit Elvis Presley's home and the Civil Rights Museum to take in some history. Some excellent breweries to be found in Memphis. Experience Bar-BQ, and southern food at its best.
Lynchburg 1 1/2 hours away is the home of Jack Daniels Distillery. No explanation required!
About 45 min from our home you can find the Old Order Amish, visiting their community is like going back in time. They don't use electricity or cars and even speak their own language!
