Aarhus was recommended by Lonely Planet as the number 2 of Europes hottest cities (2016, http://www.visitaarhus.com/ln-int/aarhus/lonely-planet-puts-aarhus-top-list-europes-hottest-destinations) and recommended in the British ‘A Luxury Travel Blog’ as the Capital of Cool in 2018 https://www.aluxurytravelblog.com /2018/07/22/aarhus-10-reasons-to-visit-denmarks-capital-of-cool/. Our house is a nice family house in a quiet suburb very close to Aarhus city centre and public transport. The main attractions of the city are around 10 minutes away by bus or bicycle..
There are many things to do in and around the city. If in doubt write to us and we will send you a list of things to do
The house is 130m2 plus a 70m2 basement. It was built in 1930 in a traditional Danish style (‘murermestervilla’). Nice, cosy interior.
The ground floor of the house includes a nice living room with TV, stereo and fireplace. There is a good kitchen and a dining area. There is also a small conservatory with access to the garden and the south-west facing patio.
Upstairs you find the bathroom, the master bedroom with a double bed, and two childrens rooms. There are three beds in the childrens rooms, best suited for children or not-so-tall adults (length of bed = 190cm).
The basement holds an additional bathroom, an office/guestroom, washing-machine and dryer.
Outside the house there is a garden and two patios. One patio faces south-west and has sun in the afternoon/evening, while the other faces south-east and has sun in the morning. Both patios have tables and chairs. There is also a large trampoline.
The garden also has a henhouse, where we currently have three hens (no rooster, so they will not wake you up in the morning). If you are interested you are welcome to take care of the hens (and take the eggs :-) - otherwise we will arrange for the neighbour to do this. Taking care of the hens involves feeding them and cleaning up after them (once a day).
The bus-stop and several supermarkets are a three minute walk away. There is also a park with a playground within walking distance.
We have four bicycles which you can use. Two for grown-ups, two for children.
