Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
We have a beautiful and comfortable four bedroom and three bath family home bordered by woods on two sides yet still a short walk to all the action West Asheville has to offer and three miles to Downtown Asheville. My husband designed the house and construction was just completed in 2016 It's a perfect spot from which to enjoy excellent restaurants, craft breweries, galleries, music venues, farms, vineyards, and fantastic hiking, waterfalls, river activities, and winter sports activities.
We love how open and airy our home is. The ceilings are high and the windows are huge. Light pours in from every direction. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms with wood floors and comfy and attractive furnishings. There is a master bedroom with a king sized bed and en suite bathroom, a second bedroom with a queen bed and private bathroom, a child's bedroom with a twin bed that has an extra mattress so it can be used on the floor as a king mattress or on the bed as a twin, a third bedroom with a queen sized sofa bed and crib. There are many outside sitting areas and amenities (swing set, sand box, hammocks, fire pits, ping pong, exercise equipment, etc). My favorite part of the house is the jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. You can spend hours gazing at nature while relaxing in the tub. The walk-in grotto shower is also wonderful. The kitchen is so enjoyable for anyone who loves to cook. A large gas cooktop, wall oven, additional convection oven, a huge island, and wine fridge combine to make the space perfect for creating a fantastic meal. Walk to the farmer's market, explore local dairies, vineyards, and breweries, and bring your treasures home to enjoy. There is a wrap around porch to appreciate the woods and stay entertained watching the birds and squirrels. Additionally, there is a covered porch attached to the dining room for enjoying meals which has a Weber grill. There is also, a seating area on the lower floor overlooking the woods, and an additional fire pit/lounge area next to the play set and sand box area.
Our home is right off of Haywood Rd in West Asheville. This area is well known as a destination for amazing restaurants, craft breweries, and music venues, and a variety of interesting activities. I love that the house is walkable to so many activities including a playground, book stores, a yoga studio, etc., but still feels like a private compound. There is a short walking trail through our woods to a small stream with a sweet tree house, tree swing, and play space. In the summer our woods are filled with berries. We also have a small vegetable garden from which you are welcome to use whatever is growing.
We are a couple with a seven-year-old and a two-year-old. Scott is a web analyst and works remotely. Phaedra is a part-time Forensic Accountant who works (mostly) remotely and is a stay-at-home mom the rest of the time. Our kiddos are well-traveled and well-behaved. Our home is definitely child friendly! We have plenty of toys and accessories preferred by families as well as a play set/sand box/seesaw area outside and a mobile pingpong table for use indoors or out. The home has never had pets in it. We prefer longer term travel for a month or two generally, but are open to ideas. We are open to considering a car exchange for international travel. Our dates are completely flexible as we are not limited by work or school schedules.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our area is a destination for amazing farm-to-table restaurants, craft breweries, galleries, live music venues, and a variety of interesting activities. I love that the house is walkable to so many activities including a farmer's market, playground, book stores, a yoga studio, etc., but still feels like a private compound in the sheltering woods. Downtown Asheville is a very short drive (less than ten minutes) and fabulous hiking trails, waterfalls, and lakes are within 20 minutes of our home. Ski lodges are accessible at about a 40 minute drive. The Blue Ridge Parkway with amazing views and endless hiking opportunities is about a 20 minute drive. There are numerous farms, dairies, and vineyards that are about a 20 minute drive and welcome visitors to view the workings of the facility and purchase fresh goods directly. The Biltmore Estate is also a 15 minute drive and is a wonderful place to visit.
Le mot de la fin
It's in a very fun and walkable neighborhood, but has woods on two sides and even a short hiking trail to a nearby stream with treehouse and swing.
It's in the middle of town and is a ten minute drive or less to everywhere in Asheville.
We can visit restaurants, breweries, and music venues on foot, and are a short drive to hiking, river activities, vineyards, farms, dairies, ski resorts, and more.
