Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our apartment is a very classic 70 m2 Copenhagen apartment in a great area 15 min walk from the old city center. It is located on the 1. floor (second story) of a house from 1870. It has a combined living/dining room and a bedroom with a double bed and access to a large west facing balcony with lots of afternoon and evening sun for sunbathing, enjoying the view of the communal garden or barbecuing and drinking wine in the evening. The balcony has tables, chairs and a barbecue in the summer.
Our son's bedroom is connected to the living room with double doors. It has lots of toys and books and bikes. At the moment the room has a small kid's bed (120 cm), but we expect to switch to a larger kid's bed before summer. We can always supply a baby cot upon request.
We can accomodate a family with up to 3 kids if you don't mind that is a bit snug. We have the bed for a small child, a double air madras and two adult size folding madrasses, which can be folded and put a side during the day to make room in the kids' bedroom to play. It is also possible to sleep on the sofa, which is 2 meters long.
Both the bedroom and the kids' bedroom have black curtains for keeping the room dark at night during the light Danish summers.
The kitchen has a microwave, fridge and freezer, a gas stove and a soda machine. There is no dishwasher.
The bathroom has a bathtub and a washing machine.
The living room and kids' room overlook a park with two playgrounds. A lovely park for drinking coffee or beer and meeting people.
The communal garden has tables and barbecues and a playground and really nice neighbors. You can park your bike here as well.
We can supply a couple of bikes for you with baby seats so that you can experience Copenhagen the local way. You can also choose to use the public Copenhagen Electrical City Bikes, which are available on "every corner". They are great and have build-in-tablets with maps and city guides.
The downstairs neighbor is a small bar which is open on thursdays, fridays and saturday nights. You should expect some noise from guests and music within the opening hours.

The area: Our apartment is located in the heart of the vibrant, colorful and multi-cultural area called Noerrebro (Nørrebro) which is centrally located 1,5 km from the old city center and Latin Quarter.
Noerrebro is the most densely populated area in Denmark. It is a young area with lots of families and students. It is known for being very creative and progressive.
It is an area designed for walking and biking, not for cars. You can park your car here, but it is not practical for getting around the city. However, we have great public transportation.
Our neighborhood has loads of great little shops, bars and restaurants.
Our apartment has 3 supermarkets within 100 m. It is 50 m from Assistens cemetery (where H.C. Andersen, Niels Bohr and Soeren Kirkegaard among others are buried) where you can go for beautiful, tranquil walks, picnic or take in history.
Our house is 300 m from The Lakes where you can go for a 7 km lakeside jog.
Noerrebro has lots of cool playgrounds, 5 playgrounds and a petting zoo within 300 m of our house.
Public Transport: Our apartment is 100 m from 5 bus lines and 700 m from Forum Metro Station, which takes you directly to the airport in 18 min, the beach in 15 min or Christania or Nyhavn in 8 min.
Copenhagen Central Station is 1,5 km away. From there you can take a train to Malmø, Sweden in 40 min.
