Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
A typical Dutch detached modernised old farmhouse in a quiet, dead end street near the forest.
The best of both worlds. Living close to nature and easy to visit nice cities in The Netherlands (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Gouda, Maastricht, The Hague, Utrecht), in France (Paris), in Belgium (Brugge, Antwerpen, Gent) and in Germany (Keulen, Aken).
Our house has a spacious living room with a fire place and a television corner. A kitchen with a big dining table, dishwasher, oven, coffee machine, etc. We love cooking so our kitchen is well equipped.
There is an office with Fast WIFI, a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
Upstairs:
4 bedrooms (2 double beds, 1 single bedrooms, 1 easy to make double bed), a bathroom with a bath and toilet.
We have a lot of space in and around the house.
We have a big table outside the kitchen where you can enjoy your meals and enjoy the view. If you are lucky you see some deer passing by or stork flying by.
We have a big barn with bikes you can use. There is an orchard with fruit trees so if you visit The Netherlands in the right time, you can enjoy fresh fruit (apple, cherry, raspberry). And in the orchard you can make your own fire at the fire place. We recently built a big office in the barn where you can work quietly without being disturbed by anyone. Ideal for workations.
There is also a porch with a big barbecue and a dining table.
THIS HOUSE IS NOT SUITED FOR SMALL CHILDREN! Next to the house we have a pond with fish, so if you visit our house, make sure your children are good swimmers!
After visiting a busy city this place is a heaven on earth. You will relax immediately once you enter the street. You wake up in the morning with the sound of birds instead of cars and if you are lucky you hear the stork high in the nest. We have a hot tub you can use, it takes 3-4 hours to heat (heated by wood fire).
We have nice and friendly neighbours and we all have a lot of space around the houses.
We are open to exchange cars. You can use our our bikes. We have beautiful cycling paths around and it is really nice to discover our country by bike. You will get a different kind of view of The Netherlands. We love to cycle (30 min) to Belgium, have a nice ice cream or a Belgium beer on a terrace.
A five minute walk to the busstop. If you don't want to drive yourself you can easily go to different cities by public transport.
A place you will feel at home immediately.
There are 2 friendly cats welcoming you. They go outside themselves so the only thing they would like is to get food from you daily and sometimes a hug. That's all they need. Also the fish in the pond like to get some food. If you want to travel a couple of days I can always ask the neighbours to feed the cats and fish.
We are open for all kind of exchanges. Long- and short term. We lived in Nigeria, Australia and Lebanon so we really like to travel, learn about different cultures and meet wonderful people. We are neat and will take as much care of your house as we do of our house. We can work from all over the world as long as we have good wifi. Most of the time we will travel with the two of us. Sometimes one of the children might join us.
