Our home is perfect for a family. We built it as our retirement home, but wanted it to be a place our grandkids would want to come. We have lots of lake play toys, including a paddle wheel boat, kayak, slide and swings. The area has great restaurants and theaters.
Our first exchange guests were a delightful English couple who only needed one bedroom, and wanted a points exchange. They were agreeable to our remaining in the home. As I love to cook breakfast, we agreed to do a welcome breakfast for that exchange. The media room with kitchenette, dining table for two, and bath downstairs worked perfectly as their personal suite. There is a full Lake view from the main sitting area. We are very open to this type of exchange for future couples. We would adjust the points to 120 points for this “Hospitality” Exchange. The last 5 interior photos are of the guest suite.
We are 25 Minutes from Charlotte, with professional sports, concerts, live theatre, museums and nightlife. NASCAR is a major area draw. We have customized the two upstairs bedrooms to provide a bit of fantasy. One room has a Neverland theme, and one a Narnia theme.

Our home is in a family neighborhood on a peninsula on Lake Norman. The main road of the peninsula, Langtree Road, is a pre Revolutionary road, and the scene of a skirmish between British Cavalry and American irregulars. Most of the homes in the neighborhood have waterfront with docks. We are only 4 minutes from the Interstate highway, and 10 minutes from three small villages with local shops, churches, restaurants, movie theaters, grocery and services. The area is popular with retirees, but most are working families. We are about two hours from the North Carolina mountains. Summers are warm to hot in the afternoons, but there is always a breeze on our dock, and its a great place to have a glass of wine and just sit and look at the Lake.
