Our home is a beautifully converted barn with lots of character. It sits on 46 acres with a pond and we have stunning views of the Wood River Valley; summer and/or winter. Built, designed and decorated by an Academy Award winning Art Director. It's so full of charm; with quality & comfort in mind. Really special. We also have an apartment that is fully independent that we exchange as well. It is above our 2-car garage, and is better suited for a couple, (the house/barn is very large in comparison). We have a couple of older cars on site that could possibly be part of a long-term exchange.

The Wood River Valley (which includes Hailey/Ketchum/Sun Valley), is a beautiful area of the West that started as a playground for the movie crowd in the 50's. It has a very cosmopolitan feel to it but retains a lot of Western charm & character which people love. The locals have worked hard to preserve this. We discovered it in the early 1990's while looking for a special place to raise our family. There is a National Park 'Craters of the Moon' about 40 minutes from our town. You can also access Yellowstone National Park in 4-5hrs. To reach our property there is a direct 2hr flight from Los Angeles or San Francisco or Seattle during height of summer and ski season in winter. International flights can fly thru Salt Lake City International Airport to access our Friedman Airport (7minutes from our home), as well as LA & San Francisco.
It's just a twenty minute drive from our house to famous Sun Valley and the ski slopes.
Our property has loads of wildlife, it's very private, yet we are set in the midst of the super-cute western town of Hailey, Idaho. The townspeople here are very friendly and welcoming. The restaurants and grocery stores are amazing. Lots of great locally sourced food.
In the summer, all-levels of hiking just out the back door, and the miles-long bike path is right down the road from us.
Our area is also known for its famous Silver Creek fly-fishing, and many mountain-biking trails.
In the winter (AND summer) we have indoor/outdoor ice skating (at no cost).
There is downhill/x-country skiing/ snowboarding/snowshoeing in winter. And backcountry yurts available to rent winter or summer. Amazing cross-country skiing trails are 3minutes from our home. Snow-shoeing right out our back door.
We have live music in both Hailey and Sun Valley year-round. And summertime Farmer's Markets with amazing produce and locally processed meats & veggies.
There is a summertime Wine Festival.
There are free Symphony performances nightly in August.
The Sun Valley Jazz Festival is in early October.
We have a public two swimming pools and tennis courts down the hill from us.
Within an hours drive in the summertime, we have several alpine lakes that are beautiful to visit and are family friendly, with camping/boating available.
We live in a very athletic community that values clean air, sunshine and a sporty lifestyle. We also have a very active artistic community. There are monthly Gallery Walks throughout the year, free live classical music on a large grassy pavilion for 2wks in the late summer, local western parades, rodeos, professional ice-skating shows, fireworks, etc. Our town is surrounded by farmland and forests. There are numerous day trips to remote mountain areas nearby. Camping sites nearby as well.
Our home is a real oasis yet so convenient...5 mins. to the middle of town, the airport, and fantastic well-equipped grocery stores, as well as really excellent restaurants up and down the Valley. All this with beautiful panoramic views and lovely fresh clean mountain air surrounding us. We love it.

During Covid and 2021: we will be super picky about exchanging our Main House/Barn. We would prefer to exchange our Guest Quarters Apartment that is over our garage. It is independent and fully equipped. It shares a hallway with the main house from the garage backdoor entrance.
The Barn has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 half baths. Working gas-lit/wood fireplace in living room and also in master bedroom. Entire barn and guest quarters heated by in-floor radiant heating. A fully-equipped home-chef’s Kitchen with kitchen seating for up to 8 people. Kitchen includes 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, 2 ovens, gas 5-burner stove. Additional, independent Dining Room with additional seating for 8. Baby grand piano on second floor. Upright piano on ground floor. Extra full-size refrigerator in garage. Greenhouse with flowering plants in breezeway. 2-car garage. At times we have a fully equipped separate guest quarters available for larger groups (or for couples).
