**Minimum stay for guest points is 5 nights, 7 nights on holiday weekends.**
This is our vacation home in gorgeous Ocean Grove, NJ. It has two bedrooms with high quality mattresses and linens. One bedroom has twin beds pushed together to form a king sized bed and the other has a trundle bed - the trundle pops up so that the two twins are able to be pushed together. The second bedroom is small and when the trundle is out there isn't much room but it has a charming little balcony. The house is cute and comfortable. Because the restaurant scene is so amazing, and all within walking distance, we don't cook much so the kitchen has the basics but it's not set up for gourmet cooking. Mini-split air-conditioning units and ceiling fans in every room. There's an outdoor shower for after the beach and a beautiful patio for relaxing. The house is charmingly small, best for two or three people, four at the absolute most. We love kids but for various reasons the cottage isn't suitable for those under about 8 years old.
We get quite a few requests from people that are actually looking for NYC. Please be aware that the train, which is in walking distance from our house, takes approximately 90 minutes into NYC. Great for a day trip or two but probably too far if you want to be in Manhattan every day.

The town is said to have the largest concentration of Victorian style homes on the east coast. Just walking around the quaint town looking at the houses is entertainment in and of itself. In the summer there are concerts in the magnificent auditorium which is the largest wooden structure in the Eastern US - it's breathtaking inside. During the day there are craft fairs and other activities on the main ocean pathway leading up to the auditorium. Because the town is one square mile everything in town is walkable. The main street has restaurants and shopping which are open year round. Quiet and restful in the winter.
We are about 7 blocks from the Atlantic ocean and the beautiful Ocean Grove beaches. We are also a few blocks from Asbury Park (where Bruce Springsteen got his start and still visits) and it's many entertainment options. It seems that every week another hip restaurant or cool music venue opens or there's a festival of some sort. I just love the contrast of quiet, charming Ocean Grove and happening Asbury Park and it's all easy walking distance. Asbury Park also has a train that goes directly to NYC so it's relatively easy to get into the city for all that Manhattan has to offer.
