Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our home is a light, open family home. It is our main residence so, whilst it is always left clean and tidy for our guests, it is lived in and comfortable and just a regular home. We travel and exchange during school holidays as we have school age children and both work in education. Sometimes we may do local exchanges for a weekend - we can't offer gp exchanges for weekends so these would need to be reciprocal.
Our downstairs space is mostly open-plan and double doors open right up onto our modest courtyard garden with plants in pots and space to sit an enjoy a meal or a relax in the sunshine. The huge kitchen / dining area is ideal for sociable meals and the large, colourful lounge area is designed with movable furniture for reading, playing games and chilling out. Some of the space is taken with a pool/table tennis table.
Upstairs we have one large double bedroom and two large single bedrooms. Our fourth bedroom is set up as a "den" with a huge sofa/sofa bed, a TV and a stand up/ sit down adjustable desk and work area. We have a bathroom with toilet, shower and bath and a separate second toilet, too.
Our front garden / drive has a breakfast seating area for morning sun and space to park a small car. There is ample on-street parking, too.
Just along from the house there is a very large communal garden area which we share with our neighbourhood, with a tyre swing, benches, and lots of trees. At the end of the street there is a private gate to the harbour front, so we have very easy access to the sea.
Please note that, whilst we absolutely welcome older children to our house, it is not a suitable property for young children. We have absolutely no facilities for babies and toddlers and some of the features (such as the banisters and railings on the stairs and landing) are original from when the house was built and are not safe for small children. We haven't had small children for a long time so we just can't guarantee things here (e.g. medicine storage etc) are safe for little ones.
We have two lovely cats (see profile for more info).

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our town is gorgeous - a small fishing town right on the sea in Hampshire, on the vibrant and beautiful Chichester Harbour. You can walk from our house to the harbour in a few moments via a private gate onto the shore, right by coastal woodland for walks. A few miles North is the beginning of the South Downs and there are wooded areas with multitudes of paths to walk and cycle.
We live around 20 mins walk from the train station with direct trains to Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton and London Victoria to access all the attractions that those towns have to offer. There are also buses just at the end of the road nearby that run the Brighton-Portsmouth route and we are just 2 mins drive from the A27 so this is an extremely well-connected area.
There are two parks for sports and play in the town and supermarkets, restaurants, cafés and shops just a few minutes bike ride or 15 min walk away. There is ample parking in town, on street and in a number of car parks.
We are 20-25 mins drive from the first class sandy beaches at West Wittering and Hayling Island. There are lots of watersports, cycling and hiking options from the house or a short drive away.

Le mot de la fin
We also have access to a private boat park at the end of the street where we keep watersports kit which may be made available to guests through discussion, depending on the circumstances.
