Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
The sense of space and the layout of the house make it very welcoming. Our detached dormer bungalow is in excellent condition throughout.
On the ground floor there is extensive living area and a very large modern kitchen leading into the rear south-facing garden. Also on the ground floor there is a large hallway and a double bedroom with bathroom attached. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, one single bedroom and two bathrooms.
We have well maintained gardens both to the front and rear of the house. The attached garage guarantees plenty of storage and there is off-street car parking for three cars.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
The sea is right beside us and the mountains are a short distance away. Our house is located within walking distance of the attractive village of Blackrock which is 7 kilometres from the centre of Dublin, on it's south-side.
Blackrock is built on the coast and is considered a highly desirable place to live. It is a very safe area and family-friendly. It has very good shopping amenities, many award-winning restaurants and very nice public parks. Most of the houses in the area where we live were built fifty years ago, and our neighbourhood has many tree-lined streets and plenty of open spaces.
The biggest university in Ireland is only a short distance from our home. Public transport, both bus and rail, in the area is excellent and this allows easy access to the city centre and to the Wicklow mountains located further south of the city. The roads network in the area provides easy access to the motorways that service the rest of the country.

Le mot de la fin
Previous exchangers have used our house as a base to explore Dublin city and the east coast of Ireland. Some others availed of the opportunity to visit the west coast (Galway is a 2-hour drive), the south-west coast (Cork is a 2-hour drive) or the North of Ireland (Belfast is a 2-hour drive).
Ireland is a very beautiful country and there is a great deal to see and experience. We recommend that people stay in Ireland for a 4-week holiday and intersperse their visit with some trips to other parts of Ireland.
Our preference is to do a simultaneous exchange and, as we have done previously, we are open to exchanging motor-cars on a reciprocal basis. We are a recently retired couple with adult children. Our party will consist of 3-4 adults and we will treat your property with care and attention, as if it were our own.
