Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
** Please Read First: ** Chateau Mickey is a high-demand Disney-area rental in a popular resort. We prefer non-simultaneous exchange and are rarely able to host during high season (Feb - Apr) or major holidays (unless indicated on our calendar). Last minute GP requests are sometimes considered--a week before arrival generally-- for members with a history of hosting. Our calendar for both homes is www.chateaumickey.com.
We thoughtfully consider all offers and respond quickly. For 2025 and 2026 we're specifically looking for UK, Ireland, Spain, and other European destinations that are walkable and/or well-served by public transportation. But...truth is...we never know where we're going next. Surprise us!
Welcome to Chateau Mickey, our Florida home-away-from-home and now yours as well! We love to home exchange and are happy to share our favorite sunny spot near the "Happiest Place on Earth" with you.
Things you'll love about our home:
#1: Proximity to Walt Disney World. Windsor Hills is a friendly, gated community, just 2 miles from the main gate, which puts Chateau Mickey closer to some of the parks than many Disney hotels! All homes are privately owned, giving the resort a personal, "family" feel vs a generic, corporate environment.
#2: Room to spread out. As Disney fans and a family of 5, we've logged plenty of time in expensive, crowded hotel rooms. Chateau Mickey has 3 bedrooms, all of them en-suite, which makes getting ready in the mornings quick and easy. Our kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you need for a quick bite or multi-course meal.
#3: Double Olympic-size Swimming Pool. You'll appreciate coming back at the end of the day to the relaxing, vacay vibe poolside. Just a 5 minute walk from the house.
#4: Splash Pool. Our home also has it's very own south-facing (SUNNY!) splash pool and terrace. Perfect for hanging out during the day or enjoying a quiet night "in." It's about 4 feet deep in center, with bench-stairs for easy access.
#5: WATERPARK. My kids will say this really should be #1. Fair warning: don't be surprised if your kids beg to come home early from the parks each day. Yes, it really is that much fun. Again, a very close walk from the house.
#6: Grounds. We love to walk, and walking the grounds of Windsor Hills is one of our favorite vacation activities. So much to see! It's a lovely, immaculately-maintained resort. If walking isn't enough exercise, we have the gym, tennis courts, pickleball court, kids' playgrounds, volleyball area and, of course, the gorgeous pool and waterpark area.
#7: Convenience. Vacationing here is so EASY. There's a Walmart on the way from the airport--just a quick drive from the house. We always make a quick stop, grab the essentials, and make a beeline for home. Once at Windsor Hills, an on-site convenience store will provide anything you may have forgotten. Don't want to cook? Summon Uber Eats or Grub Hub and they'll bring great food right to your door. Feel like dining out? There are dozens of restaurants to choose from within a 5-10 minute drive.
#8. Atmosphere. We always say that Windsor Hills has all the Disney "vibe" without the Disney price. It's a warm, friendly place--full of sunshine and happy families making memories. We make new friends every time we visit.
#9. Clubhouse. The clubhouse is where you'll find the store, the gym, the movie theater (you can even request movies!) and the arcade. Our kids love the pool table, arcade games, foosball, air hockey. It's a great place for kids to make new friends.
#10: Truly a HOME. We love our Florida retreat and, as such, furnished it thoughtfully with quality linens, mattresses, etc. It's really our home, a much-loved place, and a place we know you'll love as much as we do.

Chateau Mickey is an end unit with private splash pool, in close walking distance to the clubhouse, pools, and other amenities. We're also conveniently located across from a large greenspace (with bench swings) and overflow parking if you have more than one vehicle.
Windsor Hills is a friendly gated community, just 2 miles from the Walt Disney World gate, putting us closer to the parks than many of the Disney Hotels on property. There are many restaurants within a short drive and Walmart is just down the road--on the way from the airport.
While you'll probably prefer a rental car, it's very easy to taxi, Uber , or Lyft from Windsor Hills to Walt Disney World. It's often as economical as driving (parking at the parks is $30/day) and can save substantially on walking and time at the end of a long day.
Disney World is just the start of your fun in central Florida! Our home is a perfect base for exploring the area.

Important: Please read. With the understanding that Chateau Mickey is located within a gated & secured resort and bound by HOA restrictions, Home Exchange Guests must acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. No smoking
2. No pets
3. Check-in 4:00 p.m. Check-out 10:00 am (guests are welcome to enjoy resort amenities outside those times on day of arrival and departure).
4. Names and ages of all guests must be registered (no day visitors without approval)
5. A valid Driver's License in the name of the primary guest is required to enter the resort
6. Chateau Mickey has 2 exterior security cameras--At the front (door bell) and at the rear (back door of lanai).
7. Chateau Mickey is professionally cleaned before and after your stay. Guests must bag and remove all trash (including food) upon departure. Excess trash that doesn't fit in the bin with door latched MUST be left in the compactor near the clubhouse (it will not be picked up).
8. Resort quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am .
9. For GP exchanges, a cleaning fee of $135 will be paid upon arrival by Venmo, Paypal, or credit card.
10. Chateau Mickey is a self-catering home. There will be a starter supply provided of toilet paper, dishwasher pods, dish soap, salt/pepper.
11. A maximum of 3 cars is allowed. Parking for one car is provided in the driveway. All other cars must be parked in the overflow lot (no street parking).
