Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
"Lo iato" (The hiatus) is a 450-year-old home, great to get-away or as a creative retreat. A traditional house, 2 m wide at its narrowest + 12 m tall (split over 4 levels). Built into the mountain, with a small roof terrace with views to the sea and hills, out over our colourful village.
Re-designed & restored by us, to utilise the space of its narrow design. It is light-filled throughout the year, in a super friendly sea & river-side traditional village.
A great place to restore and create.
**PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A 50 EURO CLEANING FEE
***NO PARTIES - please let us know if something breaks.
**2 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY

OUR VILLAGE
Many of our neighbours have lived here all of their lives.
They are genuinely kind people, who live in a deep sense of togetherness here.
If you need anything, they will willingly help. You can feel safe here.
Bosa is a place to walk, you discover things when you least expect it. It's like lots of tiny surprises. Explore, with an open mind.

Le mot de la fin
THE SPACE
1-bathroom (large walk in shower) + 2-bedrooms (1 with queen bed, 1 with double bed) + loft (with queen bed) for sleeping watching the stars/napping to look at the sky. Or use the second bedroom as a creative studio, as we do: with sink, couch, and large work table.
*Please advise if you require both bedrooms to be set up.
Our house is located in the traditional old-town area of Bosa known as Sa Costa. It has been restored with local wood harvested up the River Temo (Bosa river). And it is powered with 100% sustainable energy.
It's a homely space, used as our own retreat to relax and create.
You can walk easily into the main part of the village in just a few minutes, yet our street is still quiet in peak summer. 30-minute walk to the beach, 10-minute bike ride. Beautiful beaches, walks, Agritourismi, wineries and traditional villages all in driving distance.
Yoga classes + massages + activities available in our town - please ask if needed for contacts. Canoe + Sup available on the River Temo.
Weekly food market on Tuesday mornings + a small one on Saturday mornings.
INCLUDES
- Small terrace with seating with sea views
- Small balcony on top floor with sea views

- Heating and cooling throughout the year.
- Large walk-in shower

- Loft for day napping or sleeping watching the stars
- Studio for creating
- Pizza oven on the terrace (*wood not included)

THE STORY OF OUR HOUSE
This was the first step to us returning to our "roots". We were born in Australia, with ancestry in Europe. We decided boldly to return to Europe, where we felt we belonged, we felt we were returning home.
This house is representative of our bold step.
It is a 450-year-old house, that we have restored lovingly and patiently. The house is full of things from our travels here, gifts from neighbours, wood harvested from a property down the river, and memories of new friends and travellers.
The top-level was traditionally used for smoking cheese and meats, and the house had in its cellar an entranceway/underground pathways to other houses. Several families once shared this house.
At times you may hear even water running behind the house, this is because the house is built into a mountain and water runs behind it, with ancient water channels that take the water further down the village. Years ago, people would open their houses up to others to collect the spring water.
GUEST ACCESS
**PLEASE NOTE: This house has steep stairs + also you have to walk about 200 m including ascending 2-3 sets of village stairs to reach our house from where you park your vehicle (as with most of the original houses in our village, because the village is built into the hillside!). For these reasons it is unsuitable for most elderly people. Please use your discretion before booking.
