In Lucerne, Switzerland: We live directly in front of the beautiful lake Rotsee in the wonderful city of Lucerne. Lucerne, the gateway to Central Switzerland, is nestled in an impressive mountain panorama on Lake Vierwaldstättersee and the Rotsee. The city is the destination of many travelers and individual guests thanks to its sights, attractive shopping opportunities, unique location on the lake and the nearby mountains : Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn mountains.
We live in a family friendly house and our neighbours are our friends.
We have a very nice garden and only one minute walk to the local recreation area and nature reserve the Rotsee lake. And by bike (or by feet or by bus) you are in 10 minutes in the middle of the city and in the impressive and beautiful old town and the sights of Lucerne. Our apartment is very great, with a big balcony and three bedrooms.
We have three bedrooms:
One bed is kingsized with 1.80m x 2.00m and has stairs because it is higher then usually,
one bed is a Queensize with 1.60m x 2.00m (and we have a sleeping couch in the same room for one person extra which is about 1.20m x 2.00m)
One bed is a pull-out day bed and when you pull it out, it becomes a Kingsize 1.80m x 2.00m,
6-7 People can sleep in our apartment, but we would not recommend so many people, unless there are smaller children, because three of them have to share a bedroom, if you are 7 people.
It totally depends on your family, who is willing to share a bed and a room.
If you are a family of four, the adults can have their own bedroom, and each oft the two children/teenagers too.
Our special offer: If you are travelling alone, you can stay at our third bedroom even, while we are at home! Just ask for a short GP Stay, outside our stated calendar times, if you dont mind that we will be in the flat too.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our Quarter in Lucerne is great because of the nature and the families and the opportunities for outdoor activities. By bike or by feet or by bus you are in 10 minutes in the middle of the city. You also have a bus station near by. You have a lake in front of the house and a lawn for sunbathing or for outdoor games or sports or other activities outdoor. The House has a community garden with a stone grill. the lake has an outdoor pool a ten minutes walk away, where you have to pay entry, but then also have a lifeguard on site and opportunities for children to play and to swim.
The other lake in lucerne in the middle of the city is also great for swimming. There are several swimming pools with entry fee. Without little children we can totally recommend the "Seebad", we love it, but you have to be able to swim, because you are on a canopy on the lake.
With small children you would probably prefer the "Lido".
In winter you can go tobogganing and sledding everywhere. And if you love skiing, Switzerland is the right place for you too. Engelberg is very close by to go skiiing.
If you like climbing and hiking, you can explore the Rigi and the Pilatus or the Stanserhorn and many more mountains from the alps.
The other lake in lucerne in the middle of the city is also great for swimming. There are several swimming pools with entry fee. Without little children we can totally recommend the "Seebad", we love it, but you have to be able to swim, because you are on a canopy on the lake.

Please leave the apartment as clean as you found it and wash the used bed linen and the used towels before your departure. There is a washing machine and a dryer/tumbler and a drying room/wind room in the cellar where things dry very well and quickly. So it`s very easy and quick to do. (if you prefer to pay a cleaning fee, we can do that too, just let`s talk about it)
The parking place for your car: Please let us know in advance If you bring a car with you, because our house has a guest parking place, which we have to reserve for you, If you will need it. If you don't say anything punctual, it might be occupied.
We already had more than one Swap with other Families, but on an different Website called ' Haustauschferien'. We hosted people in our apartment in Berlin Germany the last years and we were in Spain and Portugal with ' Haustauschferien' several times.
We don't have a television, but we do have a beamer/projector (for great cinema feeling) and an Apple TV device, as well as screens, that you can use for nice cinema evenings. We provide a lot of different streaming service accounts.
If you stay at our home with an «Guest Points Exchange» there is a cleaning fee of 150.- CHF/€
