On a wooded one acre lot with a flowing creek bordering the back lot line, the mother-in-law suite is located in the PRIVATE daylight walkout basement of our home which offers plenty of space to spread out and relax. With several outdoor sitting areas including a lower patio area with fire pit, you can comfortably enjoy the nature surrounding the home.
PRIVATE MIL Suite Includes:
- Kitchenette with sink, mini fridge, portable single induction burner, microwave, convection toaster oven, crock-pot, coffee maker, kitchen tools,
- Eat in kitchen (table and chairs),
- Bedroom with king bed,
- Sleeping nook with x-long twin bed
- Living room with tv and electric fireplace,
- Bathroom with toilet, shower, sink, washer + dryer,
- All linens and towels provided,
- Private entrance and parking,
- Puzzles, games, coloring books and books in hutch,
* Upon request: pack n' play, or a crib mattress to lay on floor
* This private MIL suite is rented on Airbnb as well.
Our Family of Five:
Since this is our family home, we are available to offer information about the area. We enjoy getting to know our guests, however if you would like more privacy we are happy to honor that as well.
Animals/ Pets:
- Pet allergies? No worries! We keep our MIL suite pet free. We do not even allow our dog in the suite.
- Our daughters’ “pet” backyard chickens: We have a fully enclosed, safe chicken coop with 1/4” hardwire cloth, locks and a watering/ feeding system in place. The chickens are fun and relaxing to watch and listen too. You do not need to care for the chickens.

This is our home which we are thrilled to share with you! Because we want this vacation to be full of beautiful memories for you, we make every effort to honor and respect your space while you are our guests.
Sounds around our home and property:
- This space is brand NEW (completed in 2021), so we used the latest building materials including extra insulation. We live above the basement in-law suite, therefore you will be able to hear us walking and moving around. We take every effort to be considerate of our guests. You should not be able to hear us talking, music or the television.
- We have an INSIDE dog, Lily. Possibly, at some point during the day, you might hear her bark once or twice, but not insistently. She is NOT a barky dog. When she is outside, she will be on a leash usually going for a walk in the neighborhood with Brett. She will wag her tail when she sees you, but no worries if you don't want to visit with her.
- Six COOP Chickens (NOT free range chickens): We intentionally bought "quieter" breeds of chickens, which are super entertaining to watch! Typically, you will only hear the chickens when they are laying an egg because they want to tell you all about it. :) Please note that sometimes a chicken lays an egg in the morning.
- Creek: Outside you can hear the beautiful sound of water running.
- Birds: We live in the woods, so our mornings begin with the sweet song of birds chirping.
- If the sounds around the property are not your thing, there is a sound machine and an air purifier in the king bed bedroom.
