Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

Large and well equipped Swiss flat in a quiet hamlet 10km NW of Bern, our rental is high on the second floor of a private home that is classified as a historical monument and also occupied by the owner and his family and another tenant. Surrounded by gardens, it affords a view of both the Alps and Jura mountains. We have a piano, songbooks to enjoy as well as books and magazines for you to read. Built around 1790 for a military officer, our home is located near Meikirch, a small village where you will find all the amenities including a small supermarket. We enjoy excellent views of open fields and nearby forests and a municipal conservation area where you can walk around a pond and enjoy a picnic. You will approximately be a half an hour's ride from Bern on a regular Wifi-enabled and Air-Conditioned PostBus, a service that runs every 30 minutes most days. The bus stop, listed as Grächwil on our excellent national public transport network, is less than a five minute's walk away from the flat. Alternatively, a parking spot is provided on the property near the stables.

Nature, organic products at Hofladen (self-serve farm shops) and a national bicycle route at the end of our driveway. Many excellent walks and endless opportunities for cycling are nearby. If you need to chill, this are many places to do it and if you want to cycle around the countryside, we have several fully equipped adult bicycles available.

A golf course and many excellent restaurants are close by. Most restaurants will offer dishes which are of the highest standards. A quiet twenty minute walk away the Schüpbärg-Beizli is an internationally acclaimed and award winning example. Discreet service and first-rate kitchen expertise give you the best bang for your buck.

Visit world-class attractions, excellent art galleries and museums and meander through nearby villages with their lovely quaint decorations.

We will exchange messages, speak on the phone and via videoconference or meet in person in the flat prior to your stay. Our flat is our primary residence and is located in a shared building which also includes two other, separate residential spaces. Our landlord, who lives in two of the other floors below, insists that all our guests respect a reasonable curfew and everyone's need for privacy. It is expected that all our guests demonstrate common-sense while using the flat and shared spaces on the property. In particular the parking space that is attributed to our flat is pre-defined and limited to one vehicle.

Should our neighbours not be in when you arrive we will need to ensure you come at a time when we, other guests or our neighbours are around. Unfortunately we cannot leave a key for you elsewhere. We trust you understand.
