Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
My 3-bd / 2-bath Ballard home is a classic north Seattle family home (built in 1939). The home has a master bedroom (queen), a guest bedroom (twin, 2 twins, or a king depending on your preference), and a brand new king sleeper sofa in the living room, and 1 queen air mattresses available for your use in the office. There are 2 full bathrooms (one upstairs and one in the basement).
The guest bedroom has a trundle bed and guests should let us know whether they prefer the combined king bed, single bed, or two separate twins. Guest bedroom bed can be configured into any of the three options but it is shown in home images as the single bed -- the brown arm chair is removed for the king bed or two twin options.
Basement master bedroom is set up as a suite / additional office space with a desk for those working remotely that need a little privacy. There is also a dedicated office upstairs that can be used as a 3rd bedroom (with the air mattress) for larger groups seeking 3 private bedrooms. It's the ideal spot for a family or group of friends traveling to Seattle.
This is my primary residence and is complete with all the amenities you need working remotely. I work a remote job most of the year so the internet connection and two-floor setup is perfect for a workspace and home-base. The house is complete with everything you need (AC, heating, fully stocked kitchen, and exercise equipment - a Peloton, elliptical, weights, and treadmill.) I’ve also recently converted the garage into an at-home pub complete with a dart board, TV, and a kegerator. Note, the pub may not be fully functional based on the season -- we typically have this going for spring/summer guests.
I’ve owned the home for around 10 years and it is the go-to hangout for chosen family: the home has hosted many BBQs, game nights, and birthday parties over the years. You'll be invited to make use the space for gatherings of your own (travelers with kids or dogs are welcome). My corgi Ollie and lab-mix Stevie are happy to share their backyard and toys with any furry visitors while they are away. The yard is fully fenced and ready for your pup to enjoy if you're traveling with a dog. We also have 2 dog crates and plenty of dog beds available for guests traveling with pups. If you prefer, crates and dog beds can also be stored so they're out of the way.
If you're looking to visit Seattle and all the natural beauty that Washington State has to offer please reach out. We're a short drive or ferry ride from world-renowned National Parks: Mt. Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic. I’m always glad to share hiking/camping recommendations if you're excited to have outdoor adventures during your stay in Seattle.
We're happy to consider any home exchange as we love to travel to new places.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
I live in North Ballard (a lovely 20 min walk from the downtown Ballard music venues, restaurants, and bars). The neighborhood is mostly single-family homes built between 1900-1960 so I’ve got beautiful streets and parks for daily walks out to the lookout over the Sound. Within walking distance from the house I’ve got some of the finest pizza, coffee, and breakfast options Seattle has to offer -- the house is also around the corner from a large supermarket and drugstore. My home is situated on the express bus line to downtown and has a walk score of 88.
The neighborhood has everything you need to live comfortably during your stay and we're a quick bus or bike ride to the downtown tourist sites: Seattle Space Needle, Pike Place Market, or the Museum of Popular Culture. The immediate neighborhood is one of Seattle's oldest and was originally settled by Nordic immigrants to the city. Perhaps most exciting is our Ballard's incredible micro-brewery scene -- the local tap houses offer some of the best beer in the Pacific Northwest.
Ballard offers a wonderful farmer's market on Sundays and plenty of excellent restaurants, shops, and bars for you to enjoy. This is the best neighborhood to be for those looking for an authentic Seattle experience of living in the city with all the benefits of a single-family home and yard.

Le mot de la fin
The home isn't child-proofed (since I don't have kids) -- but there are baby gates / doors throughout the house for pets. The home has 2-stories so please keep this in mind with young children or any issues related to mobility.
