**Please check the availability calendar before sending a message - we are quite constrained by school and work so we have very little availability. Anything we do have will be on there :) **

We completely renovated our home when we bought it in 2020, so although it may appear to be a typical 30-year old bungalow on the outside, it's modern, warm and bright inside. The open plan living space is where we spend most of our time: with windows on both aspects, French doors out to the private back garden and dining, cooking and lounging areas, it's the perfect space to hang out in as a family. We have a woodburning stove in the living space, which is great for winter and cooler evenings. There's a Yamaha piano in this space too, which has the bonus of being 'silent', meaning it can be played as a normal acoustic piano, or changed to electronic mode and listened to via headphones.
There are two bedrooms with king size beds and really comfy mattresses. One has an en-suite shower room/toilet, and the other is across the hallway from the main bathroom which has a bath and shower.
The third bedroom belongs to our son, and has single-bed size bunkbed and a HUGE map of the world on the wall.
We have a separate utility room for all your coats and shoes, a separate front porch (more hooks!) and a little room that holds the washing machine and dryer. A ground-source heat pump provides heating and hot water.
In the garage, we have a weights rack with plates and dumbbells which guests are welcome to use. The garage locks, for safe storage, and depending on what we're doing while you're staying in our house, there might be bikes available.
The garden isn't fully enclosed, but it's private and quiet, with two decking areas, outdoor seating and a fantastic play area for kids. You're likely to spot red squirrels running through the garden during your stay.
We have a cat called Astrid. She comes and goes by a cat flap but guests would need to feed her, and it means we can’t accept dogs.

Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac, on the edge of the idyllic village of Carrbridge. Carrbridge is a village in the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands. It's a ten-minute drive to Aviemore, which is a bigger and more well-known town. If you have kids, you couldn't be in a better location for Landmark Adventure Park, which is literally across the road. It's a fantastic day out for all ages.
You can head straight into beautiful woodlands at the end of our street, and there's a huge choice of walks and bike rides from the doorstep. The village has a great cafe and pub, as well as a well-stocked shop. Listing everything to do in the wider area would take forever, this is a hugely popular area year-round, thanks to the amazing scenery and the proximity of the Cairngorm mountain range, but thanks to the small population, it never feels crowded.
