Our home is a hillside oasis for families. It boasts a comfortable mid-century interior with plenty of common area for relaxing or spending time together.

The outdoors are landscaped with fruit trees and succulents and plenty of shade so you can enjoy the outdoors year-round. We enjoy a temperate climate with warm days but cool mornings and evenings during the summers and very mild winters. The yard surrounding the house is about 1/3 of acre and includes a grill, outdoor dining areas, a swing set and trampoline for the kids, and a garden. The house has a large functional fireplace, central air and heat as well as a whole-house fan to keep you comfortable or cozy, depending on the weather.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier

We live in the mid-sized city of Escondido, which is about half an hour (by car) north of San Diego. Escondido is a city surrounded by hills and offers plenty of great hikes, easy access by car to the coast or to the mountains, and is a short drive to the many picturesque communities of San Diego county. The Safari Park extension of the San Diego Zoo is in Escondido as are several wineries and the Daley Ranch nature preserve. Within about a 30 minute drive you may access: the San Diego Zoo, two different California missions, beaches, and launch points for whale watching expeditions. Slightly farther afield at about an hour's drive, you will find the Anza Borrego State Park, the Palomar Observatory, and literally dozens of options for beach or mountain escapes. Los Angeles is 90 minutes north (by car), easily accessible for a day trip by car.

The house is three bedrooms. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed; one secondary bedroom has bunk beds, and the other secondary bedroom has a twin (single) bed. For additional sleeping quarters, there is a queen-size pull-out bed in the family room sofa. The family room can be shut off from the rest of the house by double-doors, making this a quiet sleeping area.
