Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Overlooking Wellington Harbour, our home is 2 years old with large, double-glazed windows and doors throughout, to take full advantage of the sun and views. It is warm, well insulated, with gas central heating throughout, plus a wood open fire in the living area. There are decks, lawns and gardens on both sides of the house, which we find lovely to sit out in or view from inside.
The living, dining, kitchen area look out over the sea and have sliding doors opening out onto a large, covered deck.
The TV/family room opens out onto another deck, overlooking the garden and the bush clad hills.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms, both with ensuites and walk-in wardrobes. The king size master bedroom overlooks the sea, with views into the city and out to the harbour entrance and the South Island in the distance. One of our favorite times of the day is to make a flat white and sit in bed perusing the day as it unfolds. The early morning walkers and bikers are all out, the harbour is busiest with departures and arrivals, the sun announcing its arrival. The guest room has two king single beds and views of both the sea and the bush.

The house is in a lovely quiet area away from the road. It is very close to the sea, for wonderful walks, a dip in the ocean, or a spot of fishing. There are great biking and walking tracks on your doorstep, whether it be a walk along the sea front or a longer hike up in the hills.
We are slightly elevated, giving privacy, but close enough to sit on the sea wall below and chat to the locals out walking. Continue South along the Promenade to a walking, biking trail around the coastline to Pencarrow lighthouse or further on to Baring Head lighthouse. There are lovely bush walks in the hills behind over to Butterfly Creek or along the hilltops and immerse yourself in the beautiful native flora and fauna.
Kayak over to Ward/Makaro Island for a picnic and view the marine creatures swimming and growing on the rocks all around the island (kayaks provided).
It’s a 2km walk, ride or drive to the local shopping area with cafes, restaurants, supermarket and many more local shops.
3km North is Days Bay which is a popular beach with cafes and restaurants. From there take the East by West ferry into the city and enjoy Te Papa Museum, the Botanical Gardens, theatres, galleries or the many things Wellington has to offer.
A short walk away at the end of the street is a bus service, running to and from Eastbourne through Lower Hutt, Petone and Wellington.
