We purchased and renovated our home in 2020.
The main home (upstairs) consists of 3-4 bedrooms. One bedroom is currently being used as a hobby room, but a bed could be added if necessary.) The main bedroom has an attached bathroom with shower. In addition, there are two further bathrooms one with a tub/shower and the other a shower. The rest of the upstairs includes: large kitchen, living room, dining room, and sun room. It has a full size washing machine and dryer in a closet in hallway. As currently set up, this main portion of our home sleeps up to five; if we add another bed, it could accommodate 6.
In 2022, we finished the lower level of the home and now have a completely separate two bedroom, one bathroom apartment downstairs. The apartment sleeps 4. One bedroom has a large double bed and the other two twin size beds. There is nice open concept kitchen with two dining spaces and living room as well as a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is well equipped except for an oven/stovetop. It does have a single detached burner, an air fryer, microwave, a toaster oven. You won't miss the oven/stovetop.
The two unit home sits on a large (1.5 acre) lot surrounded by trees. There is a nice sized front and back yard (garden.)
It is possible for us to exchange the upstairs OR the downstairs OR both, depending on the circumstances. If we only rent one of the units, there would likely be family members living in the other unit during the exchange. They would be a good source of information/assistance for you.

We live on a beautiful street with single family homes set on large properties. There is a lot of privacy. It is a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We are under 6 miles to the closest white sand beach and boardwalk in Belmar, NJ.

We are under an hour drive to New York City. W are in walking distance to a direct bus to NYC, or you can drive to a local train station. We are about an hour 10 minute drive to the city of Philadelphia. There are many beautiful parks and walks in our area.
