Our mountain condo is where we can breathe easy and enjoy life. Whether skiing in the winter, hiking, biking, or paddle boarding in the summer, attending festivals and concerts, or just sitting and looking at the view - life is better up here. The pace is slower than Denver, and we live life outside a lot. We have great neighbors, and hiking/biking/snowshoeing trails minutes from our front door.
Our condo is 2 bed, 2 bath. Many of the units are 3 bedrooms in the same square footage, but we love having the double living room and the Mountain View out the patio doors.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, and en suite bathroom with a shower. All the bathroom tile and sinks are upgraded, with quartz countertops in both bathrooms. The mattress is memory foam, with a heated mattress pad in case you want to get toasty. The second bedroom has a queen bed and twin bunk beds. The family bathroom includes a tub/shower combo, as well as a full-size washer and dryer. Everything is on a single level, making it easy for families, but the bedrooms are on opposite ends of the condo for privacy, with the kitchen, dining and living areas at the center for gathering.
The kitchen is fully-functional with quartz countertops and a big island for serving or gathering for happy hour after a day on the slopes or hiking. We live in the condo most of the summer when school is out, so it’s well-stocked with dishes, pots, and small appliances. The balcony is narrow, but has a great view and a Weber grill.
Our decor is mountain modern, and we think it’s very comfortable and spacious for a condo. And of course views out virtually every window! Kick back on a plush sectional in the light-filled living area. Enjoy a movie on the 55” smart TV with satellite service, Roku and sound bar. Enjoy closet full of games for family time. If work is necessary, we have 2 folding tables and rolling desk chairs to set up temporary offices (which is what we do in the summer). High speed internet via WiFi.
Most of our complex is full-time residents, and we have great relationships with our neighbors, who keep an eye on things while we are down in the city for work and school. We do not rent our condo, it is our family retreat, so who stays at our home is important to us.
Also, we have a cat at our primary home in Denver, who visits during the summer when we are living in the condo full-time. So if you are extremely allergic to cats where even past animal presence will trigger you, our home may not work for you.

Our condo is in the Wildernest neighborhood of Silverthorne, where a lot of local families live, and Denverites have reasonable second homes. We are near the front/bottom of the hill, with easy access to Silverthorne and Dillon, as well as the nearby towns of Frisco and Breckenridge.
For the winter, Summit County boasts 5 ski resorts in Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin and Ski Cooper. Vail is 30 minute drive, and Beaver Creek 10 minutes farther. Closer to home, we have snowshoeing trails in Wildernest, as well as Nordic Centers in Silverthorne and Frisco.
When there’s not snow on the ground, we are a mountain lake town. Lake Dillon is just minutes away, with marinas on both the Dillon and Frisco sides for paddle boarding and boating. Biking and hiking trails are everywhere, and so many festivals and live music events you can’t possibly get to them all. Visit Alpine Fishing Adventures less than five miles away.
