Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
*We are looking for a place with a swimming pool in Italy/France/Spain or Greece for around one week around 15-24 June 2020.*
As this is not our main home, we can do non-simultanious swaps.
Surrounded by water and forests, the house (built around year 1900) has a wonderul and pieceful location on a secluded peninsula by a beautiful and lake in the Swedish countryside, not far from the Norwegian border. Private beach. Swimming and fishing in the lake, hiking, blueberry picking, nearby water fun park, bowling, tennis court and golf course, as well as cultural activities. All rooms have lake view. A small/basic motor boat and canoe are included. The house was completely renovated in 2016 and has a Scandinavian country style. The kitchen has a wood fire stove (as well as a modern stove) which is very cosy. Since the house is located on a peninsula, all rooms have a view over the lake.
Great for families, with plenty of indoor and outdoor toys, swings and a slide. There is also a play shed in the garden with lots of toys. Wi-Fi. High chairs, baby cots, security gates for the stairs can be arranged.
This is a great place for those who wish to get a break from the busy and stressful city life and enjoy a natural, healthy, safe and pieceful stay. in a comfortable house. The air and the lake water are clean and fresh, the surrounding forest is full of mushroom, berries and friendly animals such as deer, fox and moose. Within 10-50 minutes’ drive there are also a golf course, a water fun park, a trampoline park, a huge indoor play land, tennis courts, a 3 km indoor cross country skiing tunnel (open all year around!) canoe rental and bowling. The nearest little town, Sunne, is a 10 minute drive. There are good supermarkets, pharmacies, sports shop, fishing shop etc. You should be able to find everything you need there. Karlstad, which is a 50 minute drive by car, is a bigger city where you will find car rental companies and more shopping. From December to March, there is a small ski resort 10 minutes away from the house. It is great for families and skiiers on beginner/medium levels. However, more advanced skiiers would not be challenged.
We, the hosts, live on a farm 20 minutes away with our four children aged 5-11, hens and a dog. The place is set up for guests and it is always very important to us that they have a great time. Because we live at a nearby family farm, we are happy to be able to keep this special place in the family by renting it out. The house has been rented out for several years and it always works great. We have had Norwegian, Danish, French, German, American, Iranian, Australian, Dutch, Italian, English and - of course - Swedish guests staying there. The majority of the groups are families with children but we have also had several groups of adults focusing on yoga and retreat, fishing, cycling, skiing, hiking and water colour painting. We are new to house swapping so have no reviews yet. However, we would be very happy to share the reviews (all 5 star) on the Airbnb website, which we often use for rentals.
As the location is secluded, you will need access to a car.
We also have a weekend flat in central Stockholm available. It has two bedrooms (one has two bunk beds), living room/kitchen and bathroom. Will post photos shortly.

The house has a truly secluded and pieceful location in the heart of the Swedish countryside, although only 10-15 mins from the nearest little town that has great supermarkets, pharmacies, a library, a few small restaurants etc. There are plenty of things to do in the area for those who not only wish to enjoy the nature near the house. Water fun park, a flower and sculpture park, golf course, mini-golf, beaches, and bowling.
- Buzzy restaurants: A few pizzerias, a thai restaurant etc in Sunne (10 mins away by car). There are plenty of options in Karlstad (50 min by car) p
