Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our cozy family home is situated in the village of Ravarnet, 3 miles outside Lisburn city centre, but still is very much in the country (a very rural feel). We are 10 miles from Belfast and 90 miles from Dublin and the historic village of Hillsborough is only two miles away (the queens official residence in Northern Ireland). Our house overlooks a lovely field and there are plenty of narrow country roads all around where you can take leisurely walks, cycle rides, etc.
Its a five bedroom detached house spread out on three floors. Ground floor has a hallway, a large kitchen-dining-living area and utility and WC. The five bedrooms are on the first floor. The attic is a games and study area.
Our home is our home, its not a museum. We live in it, enjoy it, make a mess, clean up and then do this all over again every day (anyone with children will know what I mean).
The garden gets a lot of sun which is large enough for kids to kick a ball.
We have 3 adult bikes, 2 kids bikes, bike holder to fit a car, internet and wifi, satellite TV, Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer, fishing rods, etc.
We have a Car which we would consider swapping for the duration of stay.

We would also be happy consider a Carswap along with the house as there is no public transport within a two mile radius.
Although we live only 3 miles from Lisburn city (which is very convenient to explore Belfast 10 miles away, Dublin 90 miles away and the West), our neighborhood feels very much rural. Our street is a cul-de-sac with other families, some with children, so its very safe. The historic Hillsborough village is also 2 miles away, where there is a forest park, castle, fort and a lake for fishing.
there are plenty of small windy country roads near our house, where we take leisurely walks, cycle rides, etc.
There is plenty of shopping literally 5 minutes drive away in sprucefied and Lisburn city centre. An outlet shopping centre 10 minutes away in Banbridge, and Belfast city centre has really good shopping and eating areas.
There are a number of lovely beaches within 40 minutes drive from our house.
Our area is a fishing, golfing, cycling and walking paradise. There are plenty of beaches within 40 minutes drive away or you can head to the North coast which is an hour and a half drive away and has some spectacular beaches. Bushmills whiskey distillery, World famous Giants causeway and the Royal Portrush is also 90 minutes away.
The Landmark Titanic Museum is 20 minutes away and so is the Ulster folk and transport park, Ulster American folk park, etc. You can take a ferry from Belfast to Scotland too as a day trip.
There are lovely quaint villages like Moira, Newcastle, Bangor, etc all nearby.
- Buzzy restaurants: The Phesant, Parsons Nose, The Plough,
- Cozy cafés: Miel et Moi, Albany, Ashvale Cafe,
- Retail therapy: Victoria Mall Belfast
- Bit of culture: Hillsborough Castle
- Walks in the park: Hillsborough Forest Park, Lagan Towpath
- Spot of exercise: 5k loop around the village
- Day tripping: Belfast, Down Peninsula, National Trust Properties.
