Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our house is a beautiful, large Victorian property built in 1857. It was substantially redeveloped to a very high specification in 2015. It is in Cheltenham Spa in the heart of the English Cotswolds famous for its beautiful Regency Architecture. The house has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. It has a heated swimming pool (open in the summer) and a lovely deck to sunbath on.. It also has a new luxury hot tub built into the deck and an outdoor BBQ/kitchen area built in. Our family consists of ourselves and our three girls aged 15, 19 and 21. The house has two lovely kitchens (one in a separate guest annex). The main kitchen is open plan with a table for 16 and a seating area. It has the latest German Miele ovens. The house also has a well equipped gym with running machine, stepper, vibrating machine, bench and free weights as well as Apple TV where you can access any exercise class you fancy. There is access to high speed wireless internet. We have a maid who cleans the house regularly and a gardener who also maintains the pool.
If you are doing a points swap we do ask for £100 towards the cleaning as our maid will pop in most days and keep the house spotless.
Cheltenham Spa is a wonderful town and our house is a five minute walk from the railway station and walking distance to the boutique shops and restaurants of Montpellier. Cheltenham is surrounded by hills containing wonderful villages that attract many tourists. Cirencester, Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Kingham, Morten-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the Wold are within 30 minutes drive. We are also close (within one hour) to Stratford upon Avon famous for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre (and where William Shakespeare was born), Oxford, Bristol and Birmingham. Our nearest airports are Birmingham and Bristol (both about 70 mins drive away). London is 1 hour and 45 minutes away and all these places can be accessed by train.
Cheltenham is in a valley and the surrounding hills are fantastic for walking and cycling. There are great shops, a fantastic theatre, restaurants,bars and a great nightlife. It is famous for it's many festivals that are held throughout the year including the Literature, Jazz, Science and food and drink festivals. Horse racing is also famous in Cheltenham. If you like horse riding there are plenty of places to ride. There is so much to see and do around Cheltenham that I'm sure you'll have a great time.
