Our Victorian home was built in the late 1900s, recently completely renovated and extended featuring high ceilings, large south facing rooms flooded with light and stunning views over the river Tamar and beautiful rural valley. The property has been finished to a very high standard including an exceptional fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces, Belling range double oven and superb atrium set in the ceiling that floods the kitchen with light. The open plan dining area is perfect for entertaining and relaxing while the spacious sitting room with wood burner, marble fireplace and patio doors offers spectacular panoramic views across the valley and down the Tamar river. The cozy conservatory is perfect for reading or just soaking up the river views. On the first floor three of the four double bedrooms offer full en-suite facilities, and a family bathroom. There is a WC downstairs and second lounge area for more casual relaxing.
Outside, the expansive split level patio areas take in the wonderful views across the valley and down the length of the river and iconic viaduct.
We are located in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with World Heritage status. Five minute walk down a hill brings you to the centre of the quaint Cornish village of Calstock with the charming Tamar pub overlooking the river, and the Boot Inn specialising in mouth watering steak and locally sourced seafood. Numerous walks through woodland with river views are right outside the door including Cotehele House, a National Trust property. A few miles away is Dartmoor National Park renowned for its spectacular scenery and rugged walks, horse riding and fishing. A short drive to the south Cornwall coast, or 40 minutes to the stunning north coast beaches and cliff tops. Located 20 miles from the historic coastal city of Plymouth and 15 minutes drive to the stannery market town of Tavistock offering a full range of shops and restaurants. Or enjoy the relaxing 40 minute scenic train journey into Plymouth within a 5 minute walk from the house.

Day trips to the Eden project, Devon coastal towns, Truro, Dartmmor and Bodmin moor, and several golf courses are within easy reach.

If you are doing a points swap we charge £50 for cleaning and fresh bed linen. If we are doing a direct swap it is negotiable depending on the arrangements for your home. Please keep noise to a reasonable level as an elderly parent lives In the annex next door.
