Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our home is a four bedroom, two living room, 20 year old family home in Kaiapoi North Canterbury, 20 minutes from the north of Christchurch in the stunning South Island of New Zealand, 20 minutes from Christchurch International Airport. The master bedroom has an en-suite and walk-in wardrobe as well as a heat pump/air conditioner. The smaller bedroom is being used as an office/library, but there is room for a fold up bed if necessary. The other two bedrooms have queen beds. The kitchen and living room is open plan with a log fire, and there is a separate lounge. The main bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The WC is separate.
We have a small garden with BBQ and outdoor table and seating. Great for entertaining.
Kaiapoi is an easy drive to many scenic attractions. Kaikoura is 2 hours north, where there is whale watching, seals and dolphins. Bank Peninsula is 50ks away to the east. Ski fields are an easy hour and a half drive in the winter. (Mt Hutt is world standard). There are beaches for summer activities and lovely walks in and around Christchurch Port Hills and North Canterbury. Christchurch as beautiful botanical gardens which are definitely worth a visit.
We are a retired couple, Robin was a carpenter and now makes wooden toys as his hobby and sells them at a local farmers market and Jackie was a school administrator in the Careers area. We love to travel and have been to Europe, Asia and South America. We are looking to explore the world further.

- Buzzy restaurants: Several cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.
- Cozy cafés: Coffee Culture is our favourite in the town.
- Retail therapy: There is a small department store, 2 supermarkets, chemists and the usual shopping for a small town. For bigger items, Christchurch or Rangiora are the places to go to.
- Spot of exercise: There is a local swimming pool, and a gym in the main street. Plenty of walks along the river bank.
- Day tripping: There are several places within easy reach. Orana Park and Willowbank are two different types of zoos. Kaikoura is within range for a day trip where you can go whale watching and see the seals. Bank Peninsula is another scenic destination, Akaroa being a popular town to visit on the peninsula. We have beaches and rivers and if you like thermal hot pools, Hanmer is just over an hour away. In winter the ski fields are about an hour away Mt Hutt being the closest and the most popular and well known. And of course Christchurch itself with malls and shopping and the beautiful botanic gardens and museum and galleries.
