Remodeled small/cozy cabin in redwoods with SPA. Central heat+wood stove (we supply wood.) Walk to Russian River. 2 BR-with queen beds. Master BR has 1/2 bath. There is an additional large main bath. Comcast TV/sports channel. WiF-wicked fast. Cozy dining/kitchen/living room. (Cabin appears larger in photos.) Easy Parking. We are in a redwood forest so AC is not needed.

Cabin is located in the town of Guerneville in Sonoma County. It's unofficially referred to as God's country. Everyday is open to adventure. Summers you can swim in the Russian River. Year round there is world class wine tasting starting on Westside drive about a 20 minute drive. We have these appellations-Russian River Valley, Dry Creek, Chalk Hill, etc. See https://www.sonoma.com/blog/guide-to-sonoma-county-avas/ for more information. There are giant redwoods in my yard and in Armstrong State Park nearby where you can hike in an old growth redwood forest. The Pacific Ocean is 20 minutes away where you will start with the town of Jenner, a quaint coastal town located where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean for viewing a wealth of wildlife, including myriad seabirds and a a colony of harbor seals. Within short driving distances are many quaint villages such as Bodega Bay, Cazadero, Occidental and Freestone.
Neighborhood is small, beautiful and within walking distance to the Russian river. The River is a favorite summer recreational spot. It is mostly shallow and warm with a small current. People love to float up or down the River in inner tubes, kayaks, paddle boards or canoes. River access is a 5 minute walk east of cabin. In the summer you can picnic, swim and enjoy the sun. We supply chairs, umbrella and small ice chest. Since we are so close to river there are cabins nearby but still a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the spa.

While, yes, spots like Huntington Beach, Venice Beach, Santa Monica State Beach, La Jolla, Newport Beach, and Butterfly Beach certainly make visiting California's coast a must, what if we told you that one of the state’s coolest beaches actually sits a solid 14 miles inland?” Beachgoers can rent canoes, kayaks, inner tubes and beach chairs.
You can also rent kayaks at another nearby beautiful and fun spot 5 minuets drive west of cabin-Monte Rio has a large beach with rentals.
Another place that's great time for a fun canoe ride down the River is Burke’s in nearby Forestville for a fun trip down the river. You park in their lot and canoe down the River for several hours and then they pick you downriver and bus you back to starting point.
Armstong woods state park is 5 minutes away. Here you can see the Giant first growth redwoods in a much calmer place than Muir Woods.
Restaurant within walking distance- Baked on the River (bakery for breakfast and lunch).
The location is perfect to visit wineries, beaches, redwoods, dancing in Rio Nido or Guerneville and kayaking. Guerneville is a cute little resort village with pubs, bars, music, a grocery store, and restaurants.
World class wineries are nearby on west side road. This will take you into Healdsburg.
Pacific Ocean is about 20 minutes west with Bodega bay to the south and Jenner to the north.
Also many lovely towns nearby such as Cazadero, Occidental and Bodega and other small nearby picturesque villages.
San Francisco is an hour and a half away. You can drive, take train from Santa Rosa or drive to Larkspur park and take the Ferry into San Francisco for a nice day trip.

Because this is a secondary home if the cabin is not rented we can do a simultaneous exchange OR a non-simultaneous exchange or points. Our Home Exchange calendar (HEC) may show availability, but the cabin may not necessarily be available (we can't synch the calendars). Please check the Airbnb link for available dates. Since this is a vacation rental, it is professionally cleaned and there is a $125 cleaning fee, all of which is paid to the cleaner. There is also a small detached cabin in the back of the property used by family or friends. Most people don't even notice it as it is behind the redwoods and the guests move in and out of the little cabin without incurring on the privacy of the bigger cabin.
