Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our 1950s home is roomy, comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood. It's an uplifting space to be in, largely due to the wide open views of the Olympic Mountains and a slice of the Puget Sound. Watch all the boat traffic through the spyglass. We love taking in the view from the living room or out on the deck, both being private spots to sit.
The house has new hardwood flooring, insulated windows, heating and A/C, and kitchen. You'll be comfortable here.
Indoors the rooms are ample. The informal family room with smart TV is attached to the kitchen. The connected living and dining rooms take advantage of the view. In the living room you'll find a piano and and old record player that also has a bluetooth speaker that works with your music app.
Outdoors has a ground level patio facing west, a side patio facing south off the kitchen, and a south facing covered deck to enjoy the outdoors, rain or shine. Depending on when you visit, there's a vegetable garden with plenty for you to harvest for the table. The newer kitchen has Bosch appliances including an induction cooktop. It's rarely hot here, but during the rare heat wave, the heat pump creates excellent cooling.
Main bedroom has a king bed and a small private bath with shower. Second bedroom has a queen bed and is next to the other main floor full bath with a tub/shower. Downstairs is a bright room that has a pull-out double bed and another bathroom with a shower. The laundry is behind a curtain in this room.
There is a separate office space if you are working, but let us know you need it otherwise we block it from use.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Our neighborhood is in an area of similar sized homes on 1/4-acre lots on a hillside. We are at the northern city limits of Edmonds, Washington.
It's a pretty place to walk, but not a walkable neighborhood in the sense of being close to lots of businesses. 1/2 mile (.8 K) away is a retail area with a convenience store, restaurants, a brick oven pizza joint, excellent bakery, yarn shop, gaming store, and more. Many convenient shopping areas are a short car ride away. You will need a car here.
Edmonds, 18 miles north of Seattle, is a community of about 32,000 with an active downtown with retail and restaurants. From our house it's a ten minute drive to the downtown and waterfront. Art walks, live jazz nights, food and beverage events, and more. It's on the Puget Sound with commuter trains to the city (Seattle) and Amtrak to take you north to Vancouver or south to Portland and beyond. There are multiple community centers and parks for indoor and outdoor play- basketball, tennis, pickleball, swimming, plus endless hiking trails in forests of hemlock, maple, and Douglas fir. It's beautiful.
The Edmonds/Kingston car and passenger ferry is your path to the Kitsap Peninsula, Olympic National Park, and the Pacific coast (3-4 hours). Or, head north to the San Juan Islands or Cascade National Park, each a nice trip for one or two nights over.

Le mot de la fin
This is our primary home. Make use of that fact and help yourself to spices and other kitchen staples. There are several puzzles and games for playing indoors, and for playing outdoors there's badminton and corn hole. If you play pickleball there are places nearby to drive to, and six paddles for you to use.
To get here fly to Paine Field in Everett or Seatac south of Seattle. From either, rent a car, or use a ride service, or from Seatac take light rail as far north as it goes, then a shared ride from there.
