Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
This is the room that we have listed on Airbnb, and we are proud to be a Superhost. We absolutely love hosting people from Australia and overseas, and we often invite guests to join us for dinner.
Nestled in the trees just behind the world-renowned Mon Repos Turtle Centre and Mon Repos Beach, you can unwind to the sounds of the ocean and songs of birds whilst viewing picturesque sunsets.
This beautiful and well-equipped private accommodation is located between Bargara and Burnett Heads, with easy access to amenities and local tourist attractions.
The three-acre backyard overlooks the heritage listed South Sea Islander rock wall, and Mon Repos beach is only a seven-minute walk.
Your private space is separated from the main residence by a solid wood door that has a privacy lock. You can treat it like a hotel and come and go via your private entrance without venturing into the shared areas. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to use the kitchen and dining area.

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
We often joke that we don't need to go on holidays because we live in paradise. The sounds of birds and the ocean; a short walk or cycle to the beach; the beautiful trees and grassy areas of the backyard; the nearby nature reserve and conservation areas.
Our neighbourhood is very small and we are fortunate to have lovely neighbours.
650m to Mon Repos Beach.
1.2km to the Mon Repos Turtle Centre.
Less than 10 minutes' drive to Bargara, where you will find Woolworths, Aldi, bakeries, our award-winning butcher, sushi, pizza, and a variety of restaurants that showcase local produce.
2km walk or cycle to Bargara's Nielsen Beach and The Beach Mill Cafe, which overlooks the ocean (and was voted Bundaberg's best coffee on Bundy's Triple M radio station in 2023).
12-minute drive to the beautiful Bundaberg Port Marina, where you can take a boat to the spectacular Lady Musgrave Island and see the southernmost part of the Great Barrier Reef.

Le mot de la fin
Bedding
We have done our utmost to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The mattress is medium firm, and bedding is made from natural, breathable materials.
Sofa bed: please note this is quite firm and 136cm wide. It is best suited to two small children or one teen/adult.
Doing our bit for the environment
We have a 6kw solar system, and we supply our own water via tanks. Generally we use rainwater, but we had to purchase water recently due to a lack of rain. We are fortunate enough to have our own bore, and this is used to water the garden and a variety of trees, which include mango, macadamia, lime, and mulberry.
The surrounding area
Cycle or walk the scenic path that takes you south via the nature reserve to the popular Bargara cafe scene which boasts many attractions for the kids, and the Bargara Beach Hotel. Cycle north through the national park and along the oceanfront to the peaceful seaside town of Burnett Heads.
The beautiful Bundaberg Port Marina is a 12-minute drive, and from here you can board a boat to the southernmost part of the Great Barrier Reef and the spectacular Lady Musgrave Island.
Visit historic Bundaberg itself. Blend your own rum at the Bundaberg Rum Distillery; taste craft brewed premium soft drinks and discover the secrets of Bundaberg Brewed Drinks at The Barrel.
Cleaning
If you do not wish to clean, I can organise a cleaner for AUD $120 which includes washing bedding and towels. This is optional and not mandatory.
