Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement

We live in a quiet street and our home is very close to the Urangan Pier and beach. Our home was recently constructed, and we moved in during October2023. The house has two floors but we have designed it so we can live downstairs and keep the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom for guests and family. Because our home is new it is very easy to clean and has new user-friendly appliances. We are away during exchanges so will give you the code for our key lock box to gain access to our home.

There is an alfresco area for outdoor cooking and dining. It has a large five burner barbeque and a wok burner. We love cooking and this is our primary residence, so it is fully stocked with an extensive range of herbs and condiments as well as utensils. Our herb and vegetable gardens have produce available for picking most of the year.

Our home has a very large double garage with rolling doors so it's easy to drive in and roll the door down behind you if you are security conscience. However, this is a very safe and quite street and we have very friendly and interesting neighbors. There is gated access to our back yard should you decide to park your vehicle on the concrete driveway beside and behind our house.

Our master bedroom has a king-sized bed with Tempur mattress, so we think it is very comfortable. Our two cars are a 2018 Ford Ranger and a Tesla model YLR. We would only be tempted to include the model Y in special circumstances or for a similar vehicle. We have a Tesla electric wall charger so anyone with a compatible electric vehicle is welcome to use it.

Our home is 600 mts from the Urangan Pier and not far from the boat harbor. The 860-meter pier is a focal point for the local area with people constantly fishing and strolling and enjoying spectacular sunrise and sunsets. Markets are held twice weekly at the Pier Park.

Hervey Bay is famous around the world for its whale watching as mothers and calves rest and recuperate here on their southern migration. The whale watching season is July to October with August, September being the best months. The whale photos on our page were taken by our HomeExchange guest, Kim. She stayed seven nights and did four whale watching trips. Thanks Kim.


Mon Repos is an hour and a half drive for turtle lovers. Viewing is best after dark so you could make two days of it taking in the wetter tropics near Bundaberg.

Our home is also close to the boat harbor from which tourist boats operate daily. You can take whale watching boats, fishing charter boats and trips to World Heritage listed K'gari Island formerly known as Fraser Island.

We are also a short stroll from the Botanic Gardens and the Orchid house. Good coffee shops and restaurants are within walking distance so there is plenty to do close by our home.

The airport is 10 minutes away and has regular flights to Brisbane and Sydney so this would suit travelers wanting to visit more than just the capital cities.

We are a retired couple, and our home is set up to be as comfortable and easy to clean and maintain as possible. It is not set up with small children in mind and we would not wish to exchange with smokers. If you are mature exchangers looking for an exchange of between one and three weeks, then this could be an exchange for you. It is a home not a rental, so it is fully stocked with books, art and lots of herbs. You will be very private as it is a free standing house on a quarter acre block.

We are interested in guest point and simultaneous or non-simultaneous reciprocal exchanges. We would prefer exchanges of at least four nights duration. For guest point exchanges of less than five nights an upfront cleaning fee of AUD $130 applies, paid by bank transfer ahead of stay. There is no cleaning fee for reciprocal exchangers unless otherwise agreed. We will consider non-simultaneous or guest point exchangers at any time of the year so make us an offer.
