Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
We live in a spacious, two-story, fully-furnished house with all the amenities you would expect. On the main floor the house features a dining room and living room space and a kitchen/great room space. The latter has all-new appliances and 2023 cabinets and quartzite countertops, including a large island. The great room/kitchen floor is covered with Italian tiles and tasteful Oaxacan rugs. The room also features a conversation area with a new couch and coffee table and two Barcelona chairs. All of these spaces have been newly and tastefully painted and feature Latin American and other fine arts/crafts and graphics. The large master bedroom/bathroom/walk-in closet are also on the main floor, as are a laundry room with washer, drawer, and utility sink and a guest bathroom. The garage entrance is next to the laundry room. The garage holds one car but more parking is available in the two-car driveway and on the quiet street. The master bath has both a shower and a giant bathtub. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a full bath. One bedroom has a queen bed; the other two single beds. Both have ceiling fans. There is a full bath upstairs with two sinks. Upstairs there is also a loft set up as a two-desk office, also with a ceiling fan.

We live in Somersett, a beautiful and heavily-landscaped neighborhood at 5,000' in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains, a 10-minute drive from downtown Reno and about the same from the California Border. It's a half-hour drive to Mount Rose skiing and hiking; 30 minutes to Truckee/Donner Lake and Pass; 48 minutes to the north shore of Lake Tahoe; and close to Lake Tahoe ski resorts: Northstar (22 miles); Heavenly Mountain (40); Palisades Tahoe (29); Sugar Bowl (27); Diamond Peak (19).
There are good hikes in and very near our neighborhood and endless more within half an hour drive.
Several grocery stores, gas stations, and other shops and restaurants are within a ten-minute drive.
Somersett has an active neighborhood association. The Association swimming pools (regular and children's with a water slide), workout rooms, yoga room, saunas, and tennis and pickleball courts are a 5-minute walk away. They are free for us and our guests. Our house is situated above the 8th green of the Association's 9-hole golf course, designed by Tom Kite, on which we (and our guests) play for free. From our front yard there is a good view of Peavine Mountain and from the back an exquisite one of the golf course, close-in hills, and the mountains behind (snow-covered in winter).
