This newly renovated modern and airy apartment in a secure complex is surrounded by greenery. This serene setting has spectacular direct sea views from three of the four bedrooms as well as the lounge, kitchen and dining room areas. They all lead onto a spacious patio where you can BBQ (Webber BBQ) or relax while listening to the soothing breaking waves.
The apartment overlooks the Thompson’s Bay beach and tidal pool (the complex is approx. 200m from this blue flag beach). The complex has a large tranquil tropical garden with paths through the undergrowth that allows for exciting exploration. There are three ponds surrounded by lush plant and bird life. We have a resident pack of timid mongooses that run freely around the gardens and a troop of cheeky vervet monkeys that regularly pass through the complex. There is also a swimming pool near the communal BBQ area.
This unit sleeps eight people in a king, a queen and four single beds. The lounge and dining room as well as all the bedrooms have ceiling fans and the main bedroom also has air-conditioning. It has two bathrooms, one includes a bath and shower and the other is on-suite with a shower only. The apartment is tastefully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen that includes a washing machine, microwave, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher and all the required kitchen equipment. The lounge has a TV and streaming DSTV and there is also UNCAPPED WIFI. This complex has secure parking and the apartment includes an open parking bay.

The apartment is located in Shaka's Rock, a coastal village just outside of Ballito on the KwaZulu Natal north coast that is about 22 minutes (24km) from King Shaka International Airport and only 45 minutes (50km) drive from Durban. This little coastal village is close to the big city for comfort but far away enough for you to enjoy the peace and tranquility and the beautiful un-spoilt scenery.

Walk or run along the 4km long Ballito promenade from Salmon Bay to Willard’s beach.
Explore the string of beaches around Ballito including the nearby photogenic Thompson’s Bay with lifeguards. It has a superb tidal pool, a mini “hole in the wall” and nearby secluded coves to discover.
Dolphin spotting - our coastline is called the dolphin coast for good reason. There are dolphins regularly swimming up and down our coast relatively close to shore all year round. They can often be spotted from the various beaches or the promenade if you look out for them. The best times are early mornings and late afternoons.
Whale watching - whales migrate past our coastline during whale season from around June to November. The best months would probably be from August to October. You could go on whale watching trips to get the best chance of seeing them up close but you can also often spot them from the shore if you look out for them.
There are dozens of excellent restaurants and takeaways around Ballito catering for all tastes.
