Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Everyone who has ever stayed here short or long-term has described it as life changing. It truly has million dollar views and feels like you are part of the mountain. It can be a great place for a magical getaway, visit to Yellowstone NP, writer's retreat, couple getaway, yoga sanctuary, healing experience, Yellowstone fishing trips, back country skiing, snowmobiling, etc.
The home and the cats are truly special. We feel honored to live here.
It's a beautifully designed 1,100 sq ft mobile home, although the skirting is buried so it feels more like a house inside and has great insulation. It was fully renovated in 2019. There are 2 bedrooms, an office, and 2 bathrooms on 20 acres with million dollar views. The front bedroom that we call the Crowned Jewel has two large sliding glass doors that open up to the expansive views, and the back bedroom is cozy with only one window who prefer a bit of a darker sleeping experience. We do our yoga, workouts, reading, meditations, dancing, etc in the Crowned Jewel and sleeping in the back room. Both beds are queen size with memory foam toppers.
The 20 acres include an almost 500 ft elevation gain, so you can get quite a hike in on the ridgeline and even see the Yellowstone River from the top of the property line. We also have a 5,000 sq. ft bunker at the bottom of the property that you can explore from above ground and the property is a rock hounder's delight. We call walks on the property land snorkeling because with the rocks, lichen, plants, and cactuses, it looks like you are looking at coral reefs and the cats love to join in on walks on the property. From the driveway you can go on extensive walks around the neighborhood with mind blowing views and lots of elevations gains for a good work out.
We have a 7-person hot tub that has every jet imaginable for a full body massage and fun lighting that can be changed to all kinds of settings. It's not brand new, but when it was, it was the top of the line hot tub, and it shows. The hot tub has a 180 degree view of the Absorka Mountain range and is eye level with the most prominent peak in the valley, Emigrant Peak. We have very little light pollution, so on a cloudless night, which there are many, the milky way is absolutely clear and the stars can be so bright on a moonless night that they cast shadows on the mountain, no joke. And on the nights when the moons out, wowzas the mountains glow. It's like being in a bath in a planetarium. We also have an outdoor fire pit for those you feel like having a fire and roasting mashrmellows among the mountains.
Basically, majestic doesn't even scratch the surface of being in our beautiful home in truly Paradise.
The house also comes with the joy of our two wonderful cats, Caza and Nuit. They are the most loving characters you will ever meet. We are biased but everyone who stays here raves about the cats. They love new people and they love love. They also love long walks on the property, cuddling with you or each other, chasing each other, and just generally being entertaining. We provide all the food and the automatic litter box changes, although they only use the litter box in the coldest, snowy weeks so you may not have to deal with the litter box at all during your stay. If you do, you typically only change the litter once every 10 days to 2 week during that time. They will do all they can to go outside, including jumping through 2 feet of snow. The box is automatic and senses when they have been in it and cleans itself after 2 minutes. So if you do have to change it, you just put in a trash bag, replace with a new box and done.
The cats are fairly self sufficient so you can leave for a few days with food out, but they love people and human interaction so we don't like to not have someone at the house longer than 2 nights. We can work out other cat sitters if you need to be gone a few days.
We will consider people who have small to medium sized dogs that are cat friendly.
Right now our woodburning fireplace is out of commission, but we have amazing space heaters that keep the house super warm and due to the the house being South facing with lots of windows, it will keep the house warm and toasty throughout the day. We also have central propane heat, but we find we never use it due to how warm the space heaters keep the house.
In the summer we have a space AC unit in the living room for the hottest days, but we find we only use it a few weeks of the year. At night it gets to the 50's so you open the windows and it cools right down.
We have some of the fastest internet in the valley at around 150 mbps on average and 5 bar cell service due to the tower being within sight line. We also have surround sound Sonos speakers throughout the house and a big 4k tv with almost all the television apps you can think of and premium Live Phish and Nugs.
And mood lighting galore... pretty much every light bulb is a Hue bulb that can be changed to any color you like and even all go with the music that flows throughout the house. It's a mid-century modern, 70's retro pad that opens up to a majesty of Paradise Valley, how does it get better?

Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
Although you feel like you are perched on the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere, you are actually quite central to some amazing Montana and national icons. We are also in a neighborhood as well, so there are houses near by but the view and the way the house is situated makes it feel very private. You are overlooking the neighborhood rather than being in it, if that makes sense :)
We are 30 minutes from the North Entrance of Yellowstone closest to Mammoth Hot Springs and the entrance town of Gardiner. This entrance is open year round, so even in the winter you can go in and be the only person there and many of the animals hang lower during the colder months. We are 10 minutes from the world famous Chico Hot Springs with thermal pools that you can get an adult beverage or kids beverage while soaking in the pools. Chico has a great bar restaurant, fine dining restaurant, coffee shop and lots of outdoor activities to book along with a full service spa. They offer live music Friday and Saturday year round. Looking for something a little more upscale? We are 10 minutes from Sage Lodge, the much fancier option in the area with two fine dining restaurants, high end cocktails and lots of outdoor activities to book plus a full service spa as well. We are 10 minutes from Montana's famous Old Saloon for true Montana hospitality with full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and an iconic Montana bar. In the summer they have outdoor shows with Emigrant Peak as your backdrop and in the winter 3 nights a week of honky tonk inside. Next door to Old Saloon is a local fishing and guide shop, Angler's West. Also 10 minutes from us is out of this world Follow Yer Nose BBQ and Wildflower Bakery in the spring, summer and fall. And our favorite of all, 20 minutes from us is Pine Creek Lodge. Pine Creek Lodge is like seeing some of the best bands in your family backyard. It's a truly magical place with live shows years round and trivia in the winter.
The house is 10 mins from Emigrant General Store, which is an absolute gem. They have almost everything you can think of from fresh produce (you can even get a fresh pineapple) to local, high quality meats to general hardware for the same price, if not better than any store around. It's an amazing gem we have so close. We are 30 minutes from Livingston with two larger grocery stores, lots of unique Montana flare, art galleries, local restaurants, coffeeshops, and gift shops. 1 hour exactly from Bozeman airport.
45 minutes from Bridger Ski Slopes and 2 hours from Big Sky. 1.5 from Red Lodge Slopes. 20 - 30 minutes from lots of back country skiing.
5 minutes from multiple Yellowstone River put-ins for our fly fishing enthusiasts!
Truly, it is called Paradise Valley for a reason, and we are blessed enough to own a slice of it right in the middle of the action!
