Ce que vous allez adorer dans le quartier
With its expansive, elegant homes and prime location, Alameda’s small Gold Coast neighborhood is perhaps the island city’s most coveted enclave.
The neighborhood offers easy access to downtown Oakland and Interstate 880 via the Posey Tube, but guests who prefer public transportation are within walking distance of two bus lines that offer regular or express service to downtown San Francisco.
A more scenic way to travel to the city is via ferry, which guests can catch on the island’s west side. Ferries depart roughly every half hour during peak commute times, and the trip to the San Francisco Ferry Building takes just 20 minutes. Visit St. George's Spirits, Rock Wall Winery or Hangar 1 at Alameda Point on your way back from San Francisco.
Our home is a short (15m) stroll or 3m drive away from Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach, the longest sandy beach on the San Francisco Bay. The park is a popular spot for windsurfing and kiteboarding or simply soaking in the epic views of the San Francisco skyline from the 2.5-mile-long beach.
Franklin Park, located across the street, provides families with additional outdoor-recreation activities, with playgrounds, tennis courts, and sports fields.
Although the neighborhood is largely residential, there a few places to eat and drink just around the corner, including Jay's Cafe, Z’s Cocktail Lounge, and a small grocer. For a more novel form of entertainment, head to the nearby Pacific Pinball Museum, which boasts a collection of more than 100 playable machines from different eras. For a more modern retro experience, try High Scores Arcade, with 40+ games from different eras.
Getting around
Street parking is easily available for those with cars.
Bus stop is two blocks away. For schedule see actransit.org.

Le mot de la fin
This is a wonderful place for families with kids. We want parents to feel at ease - no need to worry about kids making noise or feeling bored. It is our intention to provide parents a good night's sleep on a super comfy mattress, a moment of relaxation in the steam shower after a full day, and activities for children (toys, books, park, TV).
This is NOT a good place to stay if you want a quiet romantic couples weekend. We have a bustling and busy household upstairs with four kids (two sets of twins ages 11 and 14). One might hear the lively hum of kids in all their various forms of expression (laughing, running, arguing, practicing music).
