Ce que vous allez adorer dans ce logement
Our house is located at Büyükada (Prinkipo in Greek), the largest of the Princes' Islands in the Marmara Sea.
It is located in a quiet street, away from the daily crowd and tourist paths of the island, though just a 7-minute walk to the island center where all amenities, restaurants, shops, and ferry ports are. The same applies to its connection with the mainland; the island is far away from the daily chaos of a metropolis of 16 million people, but close enough to reach Istanbul easily and in a pleasant way of transportation running 7/24, by ferry trip takes 30 min.
Having its private entrance, it is the upper flat of a two-story, detached house.
Being an example of the Greek architecture found in the Princes' Islands, the building is around about 150 years old, fully and tenderly renovated four years ago.
Thick stone walls enable the house to stay cool on hot summer days and warm in winter. We are having an air-condition for hot summer days, and manually adjustable heating system for the autumn/winter.
120 square meter space is plain and bright.
It consists of a living room, an open layout kitchen and dining area, a dressing room, and a bathroom downstairs, and an open layout attic floor offering a bedroom setting, working space, and a balcony with a sea and sky view to chill.
Windows filling the space with natural light, marble and oak floors, high ceiling, sculpturesque furniture and pretty plants, professional equipments for cooking, fridge, oven, espresso machine, many extra linen beddings and towels, washing and a drying machines and iron, exercise equipments (elliptical bycyle, yoga and pilates equipments), picnic supplies for outdoor dining, sound system, 24 hours hot water, stable WIFI connection... are present in the space.
The atmosphere is pleasant to look at, but also comfortable to live in—laidback.
Not a big space for crowded groups but a tranquil and spacious summer house for 2 or 3 people
might also be considered for work and retreat kind of escapes off the season.
The sofa in the living room can turn into a king-size bed or two single/separate beds according to the need.
Windows are secured with mosquito screens.
No garden, but an attic balcony.

There is a weekly farmers’ market just down the hill: olives, cheeses, bread, spices, and fresh produce.

Since having unordinary stairs without handrail in the house, the space may not be well-suited for children of certain ages. We are not quite sure what age exactly, and we believe all children differ.
