Our modern 2 bedroom apartment is located on one of the prettiest corners on a picturesque lane in the lovely seaside community of Holloways Beach .
The apartment is in the downstairs area of our main residence , completely private with two entrances as well as the main gatehouse onto the lane.
Surrounded by tropical gardens and a beautiful new fresh water pool , guests can just relax and rewind or take advantage of the surrounding tourist attractions that are all within a days drive . Fishing is also popular on the beach just in front of the house .
Take the picturesque pathway right opposite the house to watch the sunrise on the beach just 100 meters away or a five minute walk down the lane to one of the only complete beachfront cafes in North Queensland
The living and lounge layout is open plan including a new well equipped kitchen with modern appliances and bench top dining for four.
French doors from the lounge open to the spacious pool and patio area that has a 4 seater outdoor lounge and two armchairs , two sun divans and an 8 seater outdoor dining setting .
The pool is free of chlorine or salt …so very refreshing to cool off in the hotter months.
The very spacious front bedroom also opens onto the patio area . It has one queen bed but able to accommodate a single bed/cot on request as the room is very large .
The smaller bedroom has a queen bed and its own back garden entrance with full sliding glass and and security screen doors..
The newly renovated bathroom , toilet and laundry is again very spacious with plenty of natural light and tasteful decor.
Both bedrooms and lounge/living area are air conditioned for the hotter months from December though to March with the tradewinds generally prevailing throughout the remaining months.
We will give complete privacy if in residence upstairs but there to assist with any queries regarding the house or area.

The house is located just 12ks to the main Cairns city area, and 10 minutes to the domestic and international airports.
It is the second beach community heading north from Cairns city with walking and bike access to Machans Beach, the first northern beach suburb .
It is approximately a 3 km walk to the Barron River with a new pathway linking the two beaches .
As an option , Machans also has two cafe restaurants, O’Sheas being right on the water .
Heading north there is a Go Cart track, golf driving range, the world famous Skyrail and Cable skiing all within 4 ks from home..
Smithfield shopping centre is a five minute drive and has two large supermarkets , movie theatres, taverns and speciality shopping.
Further north along the coast from Holloways Beach are seven more beach suburbs including the beautiful Palm Cove and Ellis beach
All are within a 20 minute picturesque drive from our home with their own special seaside appeal and a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants
From Ellis Beach to Port Douglas is approx a 30 minute coastal drive where in parts the rainforest meets the ocean with breathtaking views . Hartley creek is located on this drive and is famous for its crocodile park , one of the oldest running tourist attractions in the area.
Port Douglas is the capital of barefoot luxury attracting both celebrities and families to a little slice of paradise.
Mossman Gorge, Daintree national park and Cape Tribulation are a little north of Port , being some of the most pristine areas in Australia.
Locally there is the very popular Strait on the Beach cafe right on the sand , Code restaurant, a Pizza and Pasta restaurant , Fish and chips and Thai all within a five minute walk……and a bottle shop.
The local bus runs every 45 minutes , both to the Northern Beaches or the City. Government has just introduced a 50 cent only on all public transport.

Our house was originally designed to catch the sea breezes with long casement widows and French doors.
There is no screening in the lounge living area so occasionally you may encounter geckos, green frogs and other little tropical creatures.
It is not safe to swim in the ocean from November through April because of the deadly box jelly fish .
Throughout those weeks local council installs a 50 meter net enclosure and an on duty life guard which enables the public to swim in a safe environment.
Please be aware crocodiles are part of the Norths environment and there is a sighting very occasionally …. Usually in the estuary creek .
There is also a very friendly border collie cross kelpie on the property .
Four night minimum stay
